My husband and I went for our 40th & 50th birthdays our table was booked for 8. We had the flight of wines which cost £60 each. The sommelier described each course of wine to us & why he had chosen it. Food looked and tasted just great. The evening took 4 hours which I expected on the night ( would not want to have been rushed courses reflecting the price) slightly cold but when asked the sommelier if the air conditioning could be altered he was very accommodating. I personally just found it very quiet in the restaurant could of had the backing music slightly higher. Will definitely return perhaps next time
for lunch.

An excellent experience. We booked to celebrate our first anniversary here and it was superb. As it was a Saturday evening, we enjoyed the tasting menu along with the accompanying wines to complement each course. Thoroughly enjoyable. 8 courses with a couple of extra surprises added in. Prices dictate that this would be restricted to special occasions (for us at least!) but I would not begrudge paying for this standard of dining.

Only minor gripe was that we had to remind the waiting staff that we hadn't ordered drinks at one point, but this was quickly rectified. It didn't detract from the evening. A few people have commented on slow service, but I didn't think this applied in our case - we were there 4 hours but I wouldn't expect to be rushed through in this type of setting.

Ok food, over stylised interior that left you with a business meeting feeling rather than a night out with a loved one. Wine was well selected. But food tried to be racey rather than tasty. Very over priced!

Excellent meal and service, the service was a bit slow but staff were friendly and polite. The food was exceptional with the best tart tatin this side of Paris. Allow yourself plenty of time if you visit as the food is freshly cooked so it's worth the wait. We had lunch but we will be returning for dinner soon.

I've eaten (& reviewed) here previously.
We celebrated an important birthday (for Paul..!) last weekend with the spring tasting menu - this was a good meal combining great company, meeting Richard & 8 exemplary courses.
My highlights were the cheese profiteroles (melting in mouth), smoked salmon (flavour & hit of fresh horseradish), pink lamb & soufflé (ok, I love raspberries!).
Attentive service & well priced, mineral sharp sauvignon all contributed to a perfect evening.
Well worth trying sometime - we'll certainly return.
