We used the hotel around a trip to Warwick Castle. The hotel is around a 5 minute walk from a pedestrian entrance to the Castle grounds. It is also situated on the High Street with lots of restaurants within a short walk.

This does mean that if you are at the front of the hotel, there is a fair degree of noise from traffic and "merry" folk. The traditional sash windows do not prevent much of this.

There is parking for about 10 cars to the rear of the hotel and after that you need to go into town!

The hotel is very well decorated and maintained. All areas were very clean. The family room was a good size for us all (double and 2 singles), without having to shuffle around beds etc. The wooden blinds at the window allowed a lot of light into the room, which meant an early awakening for us all (0600)!

Service was very good at reception and in the restaurant for breakfast. We chose to eat dinner in the town, as we felt that the menu was not ideal for our children (6 and 9). The menu can be seen online. Breakfast was very good. The hotel was very quiet with only a dozen or so other guests, that we saw.

The only aspect that was missing was a garden or terrace for a drink in the sun, after a hard day of being a tourist. There is a courtyard at the rear of the hotel, but it is unused.

This is my fourth stay at the hotel the last being some 4 years ago. The hotel has been refurbished to a modern standard. Our room (no. 2) on this stay was excellent had been extensively modernised, great bed, shower and broadband in the room. The hotel staff were very helpful recommending a local restaurant and providing the telephone number to allow a booking for dinner. A stones throw from the wonderful Warwick castle and historic centre of Warwick.

But be warned parking is very limited and if you check in late street parking is the only option, it's expensive and you need coins for the parking meter.

We had a wedding lunch at the hotel on February 27th. The event was arranged with ease, the hotel making suggestions where appropriate, but they were totally flexible where we wished for special arrangements. The lunch and reception went exactly as planned - service was excellent, and the room was set out just as we had requested. Special menus for one or two individuals were served unobtrusively and accurately, and whole event passed without a single hitch or problem. The quality and amount of food was excellent, and exceeded our expectations. All the guests were delighted. The hotel is recently refurbished, very comfortable, clean and welcoming. The staff were outstanding - by providing such good service, and being totally unobtrusive in doing so.

We stayed at the Warwick Arms Hotel as part of their 'Valentine's Package'.

We knew that check in wasn't until 3pm but we arrived at the hotel early as we wanted to visit Warwick Castle in the day. We went into the hotel to ask them if we could leave the car in the car park; we not only were able to leave our car there but the friendly receptionist gave us a voucher which entitled us to 25% off at the Castle.

We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening and the food was outstanding! We found all the hotel staff the be friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was well worth getting up for and made a great start to the day.

I would recommend this hotel to all; thoroughly enjoyable visit!

We live in the midlands area and wanted to pick a local venue for a meal for us and our friends, four of us altogether. We decided upon the Warwick Arms having been recommended by a friend.

When we arrived at the hotel it was obviously a busy night with Christmas parties as their function rooms were heaving. However, this didn't impact on the service that we received in any way as we were greeted with a young smiling faced employee who looked after us throughout our evening.

The staff were all very attentive and although we are not the easiest of people to please with our eating habits, they offered us variations to the printed menu that made us feel that they were treating us as 'individuals' and not just customers. We decided to take the starters where we had first sat down when we entered - no problem. The informal tables were in a pleasant area looking onto the high street.. At this time of year it was cold outside but we felt comfortably warm looking out.

They said they would move us into the main eating area when our main meals were ready, and we expected it to be a long time because of the number of people at the hotel that night. This was not the case! A few minutes after we had our starters, the young employee, still smiling, said that our food was nearly ready and escorted us to our table.

Our food duly arrived on nice hot plates. We were all served at the same time (unlike other places I have eaten at!). The food was gorgeous - I had a Thai curry with cray fish which was superb.

We all had the cheese board after our main course, which was plentiful. There was no feeling of being hurried up at all and we sat chatting without any of the pressures of being moved on.

We were not the only people in their restaurant that night, but we were treated like we were.

Would I recommend it - yes I most definately would.
