We we're booked into this hotel after the Rose & Crown double booked. Even though this was nothing to do with this hotel they were really sympathetic and said they'd put us in a particularly nice room which was in an annexe. Room and hotel were lovely. Breakfast too was good. The hotel is 2mins walk from the Castle and with free parking we saved a small fortune. Oh and they sell Warwick Castle tickets which saved us £20.
In the end we were really pleased we were moved!

Our friends were holding a 40th party at the Warwick Arms so we decided to stay there too and I'm very pleased that we did"

The WA isn't a clinical PremiereInn, it's quirky, old, individual and lived in but, the rooms are clean and well furnished, bathrooms are modern, hospitality is second to none and when you're drunk the crooked floors are an added roller-coaster ride of a bonus at 1am!

The party itself was brilliant, fish and chips and bacon rolls - superb idea for our friends! Drinks too, probably better priced than most pubs in the area!

Breakfast was good, plenty of tea, toast and full English to cure a sore head.

The Warwick Arms, the party, and the fact that we escaped our children for a night all came together to make for a brilliant 24 hours!

The hotel itself is fine and some of the staff were really helpful. The room we were allocated was in the stable block at the back on the ground floor. The room had a window for ventilation but it didn't do anything so would have been nice to have a fan to move the air around a bit! This was allegedly a superior room so when we realised the bed was a pull down from the wall job, we should have known.

The bed was smaller than a double and it was as comfortable as being on an inflatable bed which creaks every time you turn over. The room ceiling / floor above was very poorly constructed too judging by the creaking and groaning of any movement on it so we spent between 6 and 8 am on the Sunday morning listening to a tap dance routine that Lionel Blair would have been proud of. The shower was ok but leaked badly so the floor was flooded.

When we checked out we pointed these things out. The receptionists reaction was simply one of acknowledgement and explained that's because it's one of the syndicate rooms and that will be £ 120 please. There was no attempt to find out more, no apology, no customer feedback or complaint process, simply give us your money and get out. Just to be clear, I booked a superior room and got a bedroom that doubles up as a meeting room for the hotel. Where did it explain that in the literature? It's a shame because some of the other staff had been great.

If you are happy to rough it a bit this hotel is ok, wouldn't pay £ 120 for it a fairer rate would have been £ 60 and don't expect too much is my view and if you have a complaint don't expect an apology. Shame.

Room Tip: Avoid room 41

Good place excellent service good prices with warwick castle package and great breakfast. Family room was spacious and location was first class. The cost was reasonable 2 nights with the package deal came under 230 . The staff were friendly. And accommodating and old free parking if you are lucky.

We had a family room, good size but somewhat spartan with regard to furnishing. This is an observation and not a complaint as I think that the hotel is excellent value considering its central location in an area popular with tourists.

Our initial impression was good as we were greeted by an friendly and enthusiastic receptionist who was keen to show off the refurbishment of the public rooms.

We did not eat in as we had arranged dinner with friends in Kenilworth, but the full English breakfast was very good.

Our room was at the front of the hotel and sleep was interrupted by a noisy party across the road, then at about 6.30 am by traffic. A room at the back is recommended! Also, the hotel does not have a lift, so rooms on the upper floors are for the able bodied only. Our room did not have aircon, so was hot, nor double glazing.

Room Tip: There was a lot of noise outside the hotel, not their fault but a room at the rear is recommended.

avoid a room at the front of the hotel if you can.

I liked almost everything about the Warwick Arms - a really welcoming feel, nice rooms and a very generous breakfast with good service. Breakfast for me was cereal, toast with jam, 2 glasses of orange juice, tea and a full English - very nice indeed and I certainly didn't need any lunch. My other half asked for a poached egg with his full English rather than a fried one - not a problem at all and the poached one was perfect. There is a pleasant bar area and the drinks are not over-priced.

We stayed for 2 nights mid-week in July - our group had 3 rooms booked - 2 at the rear of the hotel and ours at the front, overlooking the High Street. We had a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi (slow, with an option to pay a few pounds for a fast version), a small but perfectly fine bathroom with shower and the usual tea/coffee options. There was also a nice but slightly pricey selection of chocolates and crisps.

Whilst the room was certainly good enough, I was irritated by the excessive noise made by people leaving a pub a few doors down at around 1.30am. They took a long time to get out of earshot. This was followed a short time later by what sounded like a bottle bank being filled up... and then at around 4am lorries started going past. The crossing outside the hotel front door is also a speed bump, so you get lots of noise from big vehicles, plus cars revving to speed up again once they have gone over it.... not the fault of the Warwick Arms Hotel at all - just a hint that if you are there in summer and need to have the window open, you should request a room at the back.

The people staying at the rear of the hotel did not hear any noise from the pub or any of the traffic - and slept very well indeed.

As the hotel is right on the doorstep of Warwick Castle and we didn't get a chance to visit, I want to go back again next year some time. I will definitely stay at the Warwick Arms - but I want a room at the back :-)

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel to avoid noise from the High Street at night

We stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends and on arrival liked what we saw. Unfortunately, this was short lived as the bedroom was extremely small with a tiny bathroom. Toilet barely flushed and the room generally looked abit worn. Creaky bed which made for a restless nights sleep and a couple of extra pillows would have made it more comfortable.

The bar area was dark, drab and unwelcoming which didn't encourage you to stay too long.

The positives were that the hotel staff were very friendly and efficient and the breakfast was very good.

All in all it feels like half the hotel has been decorated to a good standard and the rest has been forgotten about...such a shame because it's in a perfect location for the castle and restaurants with a car park round the back which is convenient.

We paid £100 for one nights stay, but came away feeling disappointed. I was expecting a boutique style hotel, but unfortunately the size and decor of the bedrooms and drab bar area really let the hotel down.
