On a return coach journey from Cambridge at the end of August we were dropped in St, Nicholas Park to sample Warwick for a couple of hours. I feel fortunate to have been directed to The Roebuck by the book shop proprietor close by on Smith Street. It is a delightful pub, and its staff are amiable and helpful, pointing out a festival brochure for the October 3rd. to 6th. events. I returned for events with Kate Adie, Barry Norman, Pauline Prior-Pitt and Peter Snow, and am delighted I did. This is a good example of how promoting one's town and its activities is best achieved by local people and businesses making visitors feel welcome and encouraged to return for overnight stays. Thank you, The Roebuck.

It has kept the old feel to the place, with modern bits added to make it not look tired. The staff and customers are all very friendly. This is very much a local pub where everyone is welcome. A good choice of drinks. The food is normal pub food, we decided not to eat here this time.

Like many others I'm sure, we were looking for a traditional pub in which to have a relaxed meal, having spent all day Saturday exploring Warwick Castle. We did a bit of preliminary research online before arriving in Warwick, and The Roebuck Inn was on the shortlist. We decided to pop in for an early evening pint and check it out before committing. We were warmly welcomed, and one or two hours later, basking in the glow of an excellent meal and a couple of decent pints, we were delighted to receive a very reasonable bill indeed. Personally, I'd describe the menu as a few dishes done well rather than limited. For us it was spot on!

Just happened to walk past the pub after a full day at Warwick Castle. It seems that Warwick is full of India and Chinese restaurants. We wanted something a bit more traditional. They had a very limited menu but what we had was very good...even though the fish and chips did look like it came from a box...it still tasted fine. Good Speckled Hen on tap and a tastey house white completed our meal. The Sunday roast was also very good.. tender beef and vegetables seasonal and fresh. We would go again if we came back to Warwick.
