“Nothing bad to say”
Reviewed June 26, 2012

Stayed her with my family the night before my wedding. The place was excellent. The rooms are all large and well maintained and clean of course. The staff were very accomadating as my brother has 2 small children to look after as well.

They even did us a decent meal in the evening. And the bar is buzzing in the evening, plus they do some excellent beers for this who like their real ale.

All in all I really can't think of a bad thing to say about this place, I definately recommend this hotel to everyone staying in w arwick

Stayed with my mum. The owner Sean and his staff are very welcoming, polite and attentive. Rooms were clean and fresh and the breakfast was lovely. We stayed at this hotel using a voucher but I would definatly pay to stay again. Nice family run hotel attached to the pub. Would recommend for a weekend away in UK. Close to the castle which was very interesting.

We stayed one night while attending the races. The hotel is the perfect place to stay, it is VERY close to the course and the hospitality is outstanding. Our room was in the main building it had masses of wardrobe space, the bed was very comfy and the room spacious. The whole hotel and bar were very clean. Breakfast in the morning was just how it should be 'perfect'. All in all a great weekend

We haven't stayed at the Fourpenny Shop as we only live about six miles away, but it's the pub we often walk to for a meal and a pint. Our experience is that the food is well above the usual pub fayre and the beer is very well kept. There is also a good range of ales. However, the main point of this review is to highlighht the hospitality which is tremendous. They are friendly, considerate and so often go over and above what you have come to expect of town pubs. If you enjoy a drink, want a simple, but enjoyable meal in a comfortable environment then this is the pub for you.

Upon arrival we were shocked to find this hotel among a very modern built up estate , parking was good , first impressions was exterior paintwork very tired in courtyard , we asked for courtyard room and was offered main building room which was dealt with and we got a family room which was dingy and all rooms seem to have an awful strange smell , ,
The £80 we paid for this room was to high ,,
The breakfast was nice

Room Tip: all rooms had a strange smell , this could be the cleaning detergent

We stayed for two nights in the one of the Courtyard rooms, a little tired and dated but clean and the bed was lovely and comfortable. All staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and the bar was lovely.

It was in walking distance of Warwick Castle, through lovely arches, and passing fantastic Tudor buildings.
