“A hidden gem...”
Reviewed February 23, 2014 via mobile

What a lovely little pub this is! Doesn't look much from outside, and unfortunately now surrounded by new houses and an industrial estate, but once inside the welcome is warm, the staff are really friendly and the food is great. Almost don't want to give it such a good review as I don't want too many people finding it as it's only small! We had a burger, the pie of the day, and fish and chips. All piping hot, delicious and large portions. Excellent value too

“Warwick's best kept secret!”
Reviewed February 18, 2014

Fantastic canal side pub with great selection of ales and top quality food all at a very reasonable price. Plenty of mid week offers and events. Fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff. Looking forward to my next visit!

“Nice location and okay food”
Reviewed December 22, 2013

Nice pub with good food considering the price. Four of us shared some of the platters to start and had steaks for main which were pretty good for the price.

“Excellent Christmas Lunch”
Reviewed December 19, 2013

Seven of us enjoyed an excellent Christmas lunch and sampled between us every starter, most of the main courses and every dessert from the £16.90 three course menu. Excellent menu choices, superb food and good service! What a fantastic team in the kitchen at the Cape!

“Lovely location - perfect for boaters”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

Great food (especially fish and chips!) and good range or ales. Perfect for those on narrowboats as you can moor close by and grab a lovely meal. Just a warning if you do though; some idiot has built one of the most ugly new blocks of flats next door that towers over the pub and its neighbours. The single brain-celled occupants of said flats took great delight in throwing eggs at the moored boats on the canal. This must be a Warwickshire greeting that I'm unaware of and to be honest could have done without!
