“Boots and tea cakes”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

I can add no more than other satisfied customers. This tea room promises much and delivers in spades. Service superb with cheerful waitress in comfy warm boots. Excellent food with buttery hot teacakes and lovely scones with oodles of cream.
Tea was wonderful with leaf tea, choices and plenty of water. Bit cramped but the food, service and price easily compensate .
Go and enjoy a real ,good value tea shop and you will not be disappointed. The loo is a bit rudimentary ......I'm told! But the very best tea cakes ever......

“A real treat!”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

If they had a bad day before, it looks as though they've sorted themselves out now.

Had a fabulous afternoon tea here at the weekend. What a quaint little place. The service was excellent. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It can't be easy with all the different little rooms and the steep steps to the upstairs to contend with. I thought they were brilliant!

And the food was just scrummy. You won't leave here feeling hungry! I'll definitely be back.

“Best cream tea of our trip!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Located just outside Warwick Castle, this tea room is housed in an amazing old building. We were seated promptly and our server was friendly and helpful. We had high tea the first time we went (delicious ham and Warwick cheese sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam and a Victoria sponge). The tea was lovely...brewed loose leaf with extra hot water to top off the pot.
We enjoyed it so much, we stopped in for cream tea the next day. The scones are fantastic! Definitely a must if you are in Warwick.

“Wonderful place for afternoon tea!”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

While visiting my future in-laws in Leamington Spa over the holiday, my fiance and I were encouraged to check out Thomas Oken. After a rather long walk (in the rain, of course!) we arrived at the tea house. It was quite busy downstairs, so they sat us upstairs in a room with chairs and couches. It was comfy and private and given that we were quite drenched from our walk, it was perfect. We ordered the afternoon tea for two which came with a sandwich of your choice (quartered), potato crisps, warm scone with clotted cream, and a huge slice of cake of your choice. The sandwich was simple, but tasty and the tea (we had darjeeling) was light, but warm. The scone and cake (we chose lemon drizzle) were fantastic, and we enjoyed every bite. Mid-way through our meal, we were joined by a few family members (including an 18-month old). We had lots of space in the room, and it was perfect for the little one who wanted to roam around and taste everyone's scone. I wish I had been able to get back for one more scone before we left, but maybe next time!

“5 of us had our own room with comfy sofas.”
Reviewed January 16, 2013 via mobile

I loved this tea rooms. The staff were lovely and the food was gorgeous. We sat for about 3 hours. A couple of us had soup which was beautiful then we shared some afternoon teas. (Eyes too big for our bellies! far too much food. They put what was left in a bag for us to take away with us). We tried some different flavoured teas which was nice too. I only live about 20mins away so can't wait to go for another girly afternoon.
