Owner description: Charlecote Park has been home to the Lucy family since the 12th century. Their stories are told throughout the house by their portraits, the objects they collected from around the world and the design influence they had on the house and parkland. See how Mary Elizabeth Lucy remodeled the house in Victorian times. The gardens include a formal parterre, woodland walk and the wider parkland (inspired by 'Capability' Brown), which offer walks with picturesque views across the River Avon. A herd of fallow deer has been in the park since Tudor times.

A fabulous property to visit - highly recommended! We went with a group of adults and kids ranging in age from 1-45 and we had a lovely day. The Manor House is beautiful and the gardens both formal and informal a pleasure to admire. The restaurant also great for a spot of lunch!

Just 5 mins walk from the Charlecote pheasant hotel. Lots to do and see. The house smaller then expected although good size, but loved the carriages in the outbuildings. Lovely gardens also lots of parkland. Didnt see any animals only their mess....beware where you step.

We had lunch here jacket potatoes a fiver each so good value, sat outdoors under the shaded umbrella

I now see Elizabeth 1 in a new light after visiting. Volunteers were very very helpful, informative and the place was busy with visitors for a tuesday. Found the talk in the main hall on the Elizabethan costumes fascinating. There was a huge selection of plants to purchase as we left. A lovely 5 hours spent at this spectacular place.
