Owner description: Imagine a totally electrifying day out at Britain’s ultimate castle. Where you can immerse yourself in a thousand years of jaw-dropping history – come rain or shine.Where ancient myths and spell-binding tales set your imagination alight, and your hair on end. Where princesses are pampered and maidens are wooed, as winners become true heroes and losers are confined to dark, dank dungeons to be forgotten for eternity. It could only be Warwick Castle.

Warwick Castle in all its splendour, did not let us down, arrived at mid-day, greeted by friendly staff, an awesome experience, a must see for all ages. Magnificent, try to see everything. Had a great day. Well worth a visit.

We had a visit to Warwickshire in November 2014, well.... Leamington Spa to see some friends.

We had a few days - a long weekend with our friends and we just had to visit Warwick Castle.

What a fantastic idea. After a cold walk to the castle through a picturesque city centre, we were greeted to some awesome camera pictures my wife loves taking pictures.
We found our way to the check-in and on the way took some spectacular pictures.

One of the things we decided to do, and we had a full day, so we could visit more or less everything, if it wasn't for the foul weather, was the lake, but we visited everything else.

First stop was the Dungeons - what a fun trip, and scary, that was - It was fun because they have such great actors, they bring a sense of time and feel to the roles they play, it was scary, as some of the scenes portrayed really bring that sense of history, witchcraft, gruesome tales and semi-intended dread.

A real must for fans of the macabre - especially if you enjoy things that go bump in the night !!

Another real must has to be the history tours of the castle itself, and the weapons tour is one of them, once you buy your tickets, all this is part of it, It is a great hands-on trip into the fighting heart of the castle, into bygone days, into the life, and for some death, at the hands of some awesome weaponry held in the castle For lovers of arms and fighting history of a once working castle this is a must.

The real history of the family and the history behind the history of the castle comes on the tour of the rooms in the castle, and the families present through the ages, this has to be a must do, you cant leave the castle without looking through the years of family history, something again presented with passion and a self assurance, a love of the subject and a willingness to impart all of their love and understanding of the history to those willing to walk through actual history, to walk in the footsteps of those that have gone before. A real must for history buffs.

If you have a head for heights and don't mind enclosed climbs then a trip up the tower is very rewarding as an awesome sight awaits the recipient - On a good day you can see over the picturesque Warwick far below and miles in all directions - just beware of the strong crosswinds at the top of the battlements and the enclosed and confined climb - But Wow what a view, so pleased we did it.

Infact I am so pleased we did it all I would not have missed my day out to the awesome castle - and heh.. well we were in the area ...

Amazing place but I wouldn't like to have to pay for a family day out.....parking ridiculously priced, snacks very expensive. On the positive side the whole operation is well run, the place is clean and well maintained. It's a must see regardless of cost!!!!
