“excellent customer service”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

Luckily I bought my groupon voucher before I read the reviews, so did not miss out on a lovely night away in a pretty area of England. Our room was spacious with a view from our window over the fields. On arriving we told the receptionist we would think about an evening meal. Tom brought that nights restaurant menu to our room so we could peruse at our leisure - a nice touch. The option was for 1 2 or 3 courses so we decided on 1 course, a main fish course which was excellent. It was good to have these options. 'Frechy' was our waiter. He gave good customer service, was friendly and chatty. He created a relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant.
Tom was on reception when we left, We thanked him for a pleasant stay and he gave us his card so we could speak to him when re-booking.

Arrived to find a large car park with plenty of spaces- very attractive looking hotel - although there was nothing wrong with the room we were given the views, were of the roof of the hotel we asked for another room and the receptionist Sian was really helpfull and gave us another room which had views of the fields lovely! The rooms was large with a fabulous bathroom and great shower plenty of lovely fluffy white towels, huge bed with lovely crisp white sheets huge tv with variety of channels - we ate in the restaurant where the food was very reasonable but limited choice, there are 3 pubs within a short distance which also serve hot food. The staff were all really helpfull and friendly WILL DEFIANTLY BE RETURNING as this was a ideal sited hotel.

Room Tip: even numbers on first floor have great views we stayed in room 18 our friends room 24

After reading other reviews of this hotel, we were a little worried on arrival.
Yes, the hotel could do with some TLC here and there. The stairs and landings could do with a good vacuum but in the main our room was clean and warm. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were all very nice and friendly. This was a Groupon trip and for the money it wasn't bad value.

My husband and I stayed last night. We had the worst nights sleep we have had in a while. The room was overbearingly hot, the bed (or should I say 2 beds pushed together) was extremely uncomfortable with springs jutting into your body every time you moved. Dogs bark all night from god knows where! The room was clean and looked quite presentable however the hall ways were filthy and hadn't been decorated or hoovered in a long time. On the plus side the reception staff are extremely friendly and helpful however the lady serving in the dining room was not. We had to ask 3 times for tea which we eventually got. We overheard another table telling their friends who had just joined them for breakfast "she'll ask you a few times if you want tea or coffee but you'll probably never get it" so we assumed they were having the same problems as us. She also snapped at another couple for moving from a table that she had put them at (the dining room was practically empty) and also snapped at another guest telling him to wait when he asked for a tea again. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel!

This looks like it was once a top class hotel, but it has seen better days. The communal areas are distinctly run down. The bedroom we had was lovely: the bed was massive and very comfortable and the shower room was quite adequate. Everywhere seemed clean. The food, however, was not up to much. The bar menu was extremely limited; burgers etc - no imagination at all. The dining room had a better menu, but the food we ordered was poor - greasy with little attention to detail. I certainly would not eat there again. Wi-fi was fine, and it is a good place for a one night stop over if you are away on business, but I would not want to stay longer than that.

My husband and I went to Stratford and the Cotswolds Villages in April with National Holidays and stayed overnight at the HonileyCourt Hotel. Our room was on the first floor,we had comfortable beds and a nice bathroom.T.V.and tea and coffee making facilities. All one needs for the stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly TOM on duty in the Reception area was very helpful and cheerful. We enjoyed a three course meal and purchased a bottle of wine, they didn't have many wines in stock.perhaps if the cost was more reasonable they would sell more and have more choice.A word to improve the dining room and bar / lounge area ,have some background music.far too quiet and not enough atmosphere.

Room Tip: In a quiet country area.no other hotels or facilities near by.but a taxi ride to The Tipperary Inn a...

we recently stayed at this hotel, (april 2013) having never stayed before and it was wonderful
it was beautiful inside as were the rooms. the staff were so helpful and the breakfast staff had us in stitches. the only minor complaint no condiments for the evening meal though they gave us them when asked, and no hash browns or scrambled egg at breakfas, and no village
nearby so we couldn't leave the hotel. but who would want to when it was so nice.
would stay here again.if there was swimming pool and gym it would be perfect.

Room Tip: we stayed on the ground floor and it was still quiet. but some had balcony
