Recommended length of visit: 1-2 hours
Owner description: Hill Close Gardens are a rare example of victorian detached leisure/pleasure gardens. Once used by townsfolk who lived above their businesses and wanted to escape from the crowded town centre. Owners and tenants came here after work or on Sundays to tend their flowers, fruit and vegetables or to relax. These gardens have been fully restored to their original charm and boasts a visitor centre that can be hired out and is used as a cafe on weekends and bank holidays through the summer months. The gardens are open all year during weekdays. Plant / produce / gift sales. Special events are put on throughout the year.

“A pleasent way to pass a few hours.”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

For those of you interested in gardening this is a very nice way to spend a few hours. Basically it is 24 victorian allotments all different and maintained in the correct way. There are many ideas and nooks and crannys in which colours and ideas just spring to life. Pay a visit, help maintain these gardens and relax n the sun drinking a nice cup of tea.

“Much more there than I thought.”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

I went round Hill Close Gardens with a friend having been intending to visit for ages. I was surprised because there were lots of small gardens which had been kept in the olden days by warwick shopkeepers and have been lovingly restored more recently. Lots of history and a few plants for sale too.

“A little piece of heaven”
Reviewed May 7, 2013 via mobile

Wonderful gardens tucked away out of sight. A joy to visit. Quite a range of mini gardens within a larger site. Plant sales and cafe.

My idea of heaven is to sit and spend time in this lovely peaceful and tranquil spot with a good book. So therapeutic.

“Great for Childrens birthday parties”
Reviewed March 12, 2013

We had our daughter Kitty's 5th birthday party there and it was fantastic as a venue. The gardens provided a super area for a treasure hunt and the centre itself was great for food and other party games.
