4 of us stayed in the lovely Moorhen cottage for 5 days, the cottage was so well equipped, so cozy & very comfortable. We loved walking along the tow path into town & loved having the swans & their cygnets cruising past, we enjoyed drinks in the back garden on more than one occasion. We loved the closeness to town & thoroughly enjoyed looking around Stratford.
Thank you Sue for thinking of everything & also the gift pack it was a lovely treat. Definitely recommend to anyone looking at staying in Stratford.
We had a great two-night stay at Moorhen Cottage. The house was charming and very well-provisioned. There was even milk, orange juice, bread, jam and other goodies provided for us.
The location was excellent. It was only a five-to-ten minute stroll into town alongside the canal from the back gate. No need to drive into town and worry about parking.
Finding the house was easy, it was in a quiet street, and the parking out front was convenient.
It's worth noting that the bedrooms are on the small side and there is a staircase to navigate, so it's advisable not to bring very large suitcases like we did. That said, the TV room downstairs was large and very comfortable and the kitchen was a decent size as well. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a clean and charming place to stay in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
The cottage is beautifully kept and had everything our family of 5 needed for a very comfortable 2 day stay in Stratford. Sue had also left us a welcome basket, which saved us dashing out to the shops after our long journey. Communication beforehand was excellent and I would highly recommend Moorhen Cottage to family and friends. A real treat!
A lovely cottage in a perfect spot on the river. The pretty backyard is a real sun trap. A quick walk and we were in the centre of town for shopping and theatre. Excellent all round and the welcome pack was a real bonus.
Stayed here for the weekend. Lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need. Loved that the canal was at the rear and a very short walk to town. Would recommend.
We were delighted with Moorhen Cottage. It was perfectly situated, a short walk into town in a quiet area with everything we needed for a really excellent few days in Stratford. It was so clean and well appointed, lovely sitting area in a small garden which lead onto the canal towpath, and a superb welcome hamper which included a bottle of wine! It was really good to be able to leave the car on the drive! We, four friends, would thoroughly recommend it and would book again without hesitation.
We had some excellent meals in Loxley's and Pierre's at the Swan's Nest, and a very enjoyable evening on the Duchess of Evesham dinner cruise along the Avon.
We would recommend the tour bus which took us to Anne Hathaway's Cottage and Mary Arden's Farm which we would not have missed! The weather was wonderful and all Stratford's attractions were excellent. Thank you Sue for a lovely three days away.
