We stayed at Moorhen Cottage the weekend before Christmas and I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed - It is a very well cared for and spotless holiday let. The rooms are well furnished and clever use has been made of the space within. The kitchen is to die for and we really enjoyed looking out at the canal whilst eating our breakfasts in the mornings. The rear garden with all it's decking is very private and a sun-trap.
A few short minutes up the canal tow path and you are in Stratford-upon-Avon town centre. We did, however, walk the long way round so as not to dirty our party shoes and we were in the centre within 15 minutes.
A lovely touch was the welcome basket and the Christmas tree put up by the owners. We enjoyed our wine in front of the log burner in the lounge at the end of our evening out. The house has a wonderful retro feel to and it really felt like home from home. We have also stayed during the summer and are impressed that the standards have been maintained throughout..
