“Perfect White-Sails”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2008

After reading the reviews, we booked 4 nights and only wish we could have stayed longer. We had the Stratford room, the largest, and it was fantastic. We looked at the other rooms too and they were all lovely. Double glazing on the windows eliminates any worry about traffic noise. Individual heating and a/c in each room is wonderful--an amenity we have never before had anywhere in England.
The rooms are all in a soft contemporary style, all different and all sparkling with style. They are spotlessly clean. We loved the flat-screen TV with a lot of satellite channels. We didn't watch much, but it was great to be able to keep up with world events during an eventful week. We liked having our own fridge, stocked with water, juice and milk for coffee.
The owners are a delight, very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are really spectacular, served at small tables in a lovely dining room. We chose vegetarian sausages which were much tastier than anything we have found in the States. We especially loved the selection of fresh and cooked fruits every morning.
We walked about 5 minutes to a nice pub where we had a couple of good dinners. There is also an Italian restaurant next to the pub that looked very appealing.
We could easily have walked to and from the theatre in about 15 minutes, but we did find parking spots in town and so we drove the two nights we went to the theatre. There is also bus service every half hour, and it runs until late at night. Parking onsite is easy--a big plus in crowded Stratford.
There are many sights within easy driving distance. We are already planning another trip, using White-Sails as a base. This is a one-of-a-kind B and B experience!

What a fantastic B&B. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The room and bathroom was immaculate. We stayed in the Warwick room. Very comfy bed and although the property is on a main road it was surprisingly quiet! The breakfast was wonderful and worth getting out of the comfortable bed for! I can recommend the coconut rice pudding and the cinnamon plums! Thank you to our hosts for such a lovely relaxing base from which to enjoy the surrounding areas. We will definatley recommend to friends and would go back again tomorrow!

We stayed at this lovely B & B for two nights in September and it really was excellent. It is on quite a busy main road, but is set back and our room at the back of the house was lovely and quiet. Jan, the owner, is extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. We stayed in the Stratford room, which was very luxurious - especially the palatial en suite. The best thing about White Sails, however, has to be the fantastic breakfasts - homemade bread, muffins and cakes, cereals, lots of different fruit to choose from(inculding scrumptious peaches baked in cinnamon - mmm) and that's before you even get started on the cooked breakfasts! This B&B is a little pricier than some others, but when you consider that most of the 'bog standard' B&Bs charge £40pppn and prices at White Sails start at £98 per room it is definitely worth paying that bit extra. We would certainly stay there again next time we visit Stratford.

After staying in Stratford many times & always being disappointed with the accommodation White Sails has changed this.

Stayed in the Stratford room which was spacious & very clean, excellent to have the mini fridge, a nice touch you do not see in B&B's very often.

Breakfast was excellent - scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection.

Will deffinatly return & have already recommended to friends

We found the White Sails by chance while cruising Stratford looking for a B & B. It had plenty of parking space, looked good and was excellent in all respects thereafter. We will stay there again when we next visit the U.K.

We stayed at the white sails for 2 nights in March 2008 for our wedding anniversary. I can honestly say that this is the best guest house I have ever experienced and I doubt that anywhere else will compare within this price range.

This place has all those simple but important details right. For instance, the bed is luxurious; in fact I was tempted to ask where it had been purchased from! There is a fridge with water and a jug of milk so no running out of annoying UHT minature milk cartons. The rooms have individual temperature control units. The bathrooms are perfectly designed and...well they speak for themselves. Finally there is your hostess who made us very welcome and cooked us the best breakfast served on quality dinnerware. So many B&B websites use the words de-luxe and luxurious which turns out to be completely untrue and mis-leading but the white sails can use these words in confidence. I just wish all B&Bs and guest houses were this good.

We've just returned after spending a night at White Sails and the only disappointing aspect is that we didn't stay longer! This truly is the king of B+B's. Both Jan and Roy (the owners) certainly know how to treat their guests - from the attention to detail of the rooms to the gorgeous breakfast; I promise you you won't be disappointed. My husband and I stayed in the Stow and my sister and her husband stayed in the Kenilworth - both rooms were excellently presented with all the trimmings!

This is by far the best B+B we've ever stayed in. Thank you Jan and Roy - we'll be back!
