Dining options: Breakfast, Dinner, Lunch, Late Night, Reservations
Description: Wildwood Kitchen, a casual-chic pasta place on Sheep Street in Stratford-upon-Avon, is a fun and laid-back restaurant divided into three separate dining areas. The first has beamed ceilings and a traditional vibe, whilst the two other rooms are modern in style and decorated with contemporary canvases. Popular with tourists and locals alike, Wildwood Kitchen is packed for business lunches during the day, and has a more chilled out vibe for afternoon coffees and evening meals. Carboholics will love the hearty Mediterranean menu.

Having not booked anywhere we were struggling to find somewhere to eat. Luckily we stumbled across the Wildwood Kitchen, they managed to find us a table and a very good pizza and burger was enjoyed. Decently priced too. The house red is very good and it was a perfect ending to a lovely day. Staff were prompt and very pleasant.

With six friends I visited here last Sunday eve. Had a splendid time!
Wine was excellent and reasonably priced, interesting menu of italian ideas and polite, cheerful and efficient service from waiting staff. Food well received by us, delicious choices and a quality tiramisu to complete the meal. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a reasonably priced, delightful evening in Stratford.

Americana pizza, goats cheese salad, two soft drinks, two puddings and two coffees for 38 is pretty good for such a tourist town. Salad needed a dressing but pizza was very nice if difficult to get wrong.

We have eaten here on previous visits to Stratford and have enjoyed the experience and so planned to eat here on this trip. We weren't disappointed. We were made to feel very welcome and had a wonderful meal. The staff were attentive but allowed enough time for us to feel relaxed and comfortable. The wines here are always very good. There was no problem in us sharing a starter and the waitress brought us 2 plates (some restaurants don't do this). I have a problem with parmasan cheese and always have to check it isn't in a dish. They were more than happy to check this for me and mention it to the chef. The coffee was really good.
We had already decided to try and call back the following day for dinner as there were other items on the menu we wished to sample but when we paid the bill we were given a "2 for 1" voucher and so our visit the following evening was definitely very good value. We were lucky to be staying midweek when the voucher was valid. We even managed to call in for a pizza on the day we were coming home (couldn't use a voucher but still extremely good value for money!). The food is very good quality. The menu has a good choices with some dishes being just that little bit different. Not different enough to put you off but just with a twist which makes them delicious. The restaurant itself looks quite small from the road but stretches back quite a way. It is very modern, yet cosy, with tables close but not too close. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and remembered us which was really nice. My only regret is that we do not live closer to this restaurant as we would use it on a very regular basis. As it is we recommend it to anyone visiting Stratford and we will certainly be back as soon as we can.
Thank you to everyone for making our visits so enjoyable.

We weren't sure what to expect as we have seen this place rebranded and relaunched a few times over the years. I once read that you can judge what the whole meal is going to be like just from the bread. I have found that this formula works almost every time; if they care about the bread it follows that they will care about everything else. As Wildwood it's the best it's ever been. The sour dough is perfectly toasted and perfectly presented. To follow I had an outstanding pizza - can only be compared to what you'd expect in Italy. Really fresh toppings, crisp and authentic tasting base. Wildwood has carved a place for itself by keeping to a short menu of classic dishes that look and taste as though they were made fresh for you in a family-run Italian kitchen. It might take a little longer to serve but it's worth the wait. A million miles from chain-restaurant food. We will be back.
