“Excellent Value on the edge of Stratford”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Following a visit to the NEC we broke the journey by staying overnight at the New Inn. Enjoyed a cracking deal, a cracking meal, and above all a stonking 'Full English' ! The staff were welcoming and attentive and the table staff absolutely charming. The room was comfortable clean and unpretentious. Facilities were without question and we would certainly stay at the New Inn again. We have stayed in various establishments throughout the world and hand on heart we could not fault our stay here. Excellent and well done.

We stayed in Monks Farm CL site and walked to New Inn along a 20 minute footpath across a field and footbridge to Clifford Chambers.
Quite a busy pub with Wifi available. The food menu is available on line, except the specials board. There were deals like main meals and sweet for a certain price (around £12.95 if I remember correctly).
I had the chicken curry rice and chips with a sweet and my daughter had the BBQ ribs and steak and chips with a sweet. Help yourself to the salad counter is available with some of the dishes. My son had the Chermola Spiced Chicken £10.95. He was disappointed because of the small portion size.
Friendly staff, but the food slightly on the expensive side in my opinion.
Payment is accepted by card but there is a charge for Credit Cards. They also do B&B.
Well worth a visit if you're in the area, and a nice treat after the short walk from Monks Farm.

Stayed for two nights in this very nice place, the location is just out of town, the rooms we stayed in looked fairly new, They were spotless good sized en-suite and nice furnishings, the staff were very pleasant. The food in the dining area was very good and breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice, there is a nice bar area where you can sit and have a drink after your days outings, we would recommend this place and will stay there again should we revisit the area.

Stayed for 2 nights on a Wowcher deal. Village location close to Stratford on Avon. There is a bus stop to Stratford directly opposite the hotel. Room was in an annex close by but was nice and quiet. The room, (15) was clean with nice furniture & the beds were very comfortable. Ensuite was tiled with a spacious easy to operate shower, plus lovely white fluffy Egyption towels The first night a 3 course carvery was included in the price and was excellent with a great choice of vegetables. Breakfasts were buffet style & perfectly cooked. The bacon & the sausage were of particular high quality. The Hotel which had a conservatory added on to the dining room was spotless throughout & the local ale in the bar was excellent. I would have awarded the full 5 marks but for some minor things. We ate in the hotel on the second evening but my partner said her vegetable lasagne was very disappointing. We had a long wait for our sweet course on the first night. There were only 3 different cereals on the breakfast buffet & no fruit. IT would have been nice to have some grapefruit or orange segments on the menu. However I would have no hesitation in staying at this venue again when in this area.

Stayed here last Saturday night and I must say the staff cannot do enough for you. A very friendly place to stay. We asked if buses run into Stratford and the next minute there was a print out in our hand showing bus times to and from Stratford city centre. We asked if they could book us a taxi into town in the evening, (by the way only about £6.00) and we the taxi was booked but also a card of the taxi was provided. The rooms are spotlessly clean if a little dated with dark furniture, but all amenities provided, tv. hairdryer, tea & coffee facilities. Great to be located to the pub and restaurant too. Although we didn't eat in the restaurant, it was very busy the whole time we were there so is obviously very popular. The breakfast was lovely, eat as much as you like, serve yourself your fried breakfast, cereals, yoghurts etc. as much coffee as you wanted. I would recommend this place to stay, very good value for money.

A small village pub that has been tastefully extended. Great food in the conservatory restaraunt including a carvary.

We had problems booking through their website as we wanted a room with disabled facilties so had to contact them by EMail. We had a large groundfloor room in the new annex with a wet room. Could of done with a seat or more grab rails in the shower and larger towels.

Good nights sleep although some early risers woke us by letting doors bang!

Hourly bus into Stratford stops opposite.

We stayed for just one night at the New Inn as we we attending an event at the nearby Long Marston Airfield. The staff welcomed us and we were quickly shown our room which was very clean and comfortable. The spacious shower was excellent.

We ate dinner in the restaurant and starters, main courses and desserts were all very well reviewed by our group. The steaks were cooked as requested and individual preferences on sides etc were catered for. All washed down with some excellent local ale. If anything the menu was too big but the quality of the food could not be faulted.

Would stay again if in the Stratford area.
