Description: A 1940s themed Tea Room in Stratford-Upon-Avon. Come and join us in the 1940s and experience gorgeous loose leaf teas or a lovely cup of coffee accompanied by sandwiches on locally baked bread or try a cake or scone made daily on the premises by one of our bakers. No packet mixes or frozen products here. We also offer a gluten free cake each day and will do our best to help any other allergies too. The Fourteas is an experience not to be missed. The Fourteas has won the 2012 TouchFM Pride of Stratford Awards Town Outlet of the Year and has been selected by Jamie Oliver for his best 1000 Places To Eat In Britain app. We have recently moved to larger premises, but we are still only operating from one shop with no plans to expand to a chain yet!

“Interesting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2014

Very nice change and a good idea. The staff were very friendly and served an excellent pot of tea. However even in the 1940's they knew how to toast a tea cake correctly and even if the bread then was not great, today we have the ability to buy good fresh bread so there is no excuse to serve bad bread. To the owners I would like to say you've got a good concept so buck up and you should have a good business.

I am sorry that you were not satisfied with you r visit, it is a shame that you did not talk to us at the time. All of our bread comes from the local baker and is delivered fresh each day, as for our teacakes we put them on the toaster and cook to what we consider the correct colour, if you had wished your teacake either more of less done we would have happily cooked it again for you if you had alerted one of the waiting staff I know that these things are personal but if we do not know we cannot correct it.
I hope that next time you visit us you will feel free to talk to us.

“A step back in time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2014

We called in for a well deserved cup of tea after shopping. What a lovely idea to have the waitresses dressed in forties dress and the whole ethos of the place is wartime even the menus are in ration books. Proper leaf tea too which came with instructions on how long to let it "steep". We shared a plate of egg mayo sandwiches and they were gorgeous, best i've tasted in a long time.

“Lovely Tea room”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2014

Friendly service...amazing decor... look upstairs - a 1940's sitting room ...and in the garden- an Anderson shelter and seating! Super food. Lovely home baking- cakes were delicious...and a Jennifer to put your tea leaf container on. Don't miss it! I had the Assam tea ...lovely! We will all be back on our next visit to Stratford!

“Nostalgia is what it used to be”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2014

The perfect afternoon (actually midday) tea in a great themed restaurant. But this is no mickey mouse operation. The whole ambience is done really well, from the décor to the music to the service - all play a part for a relaxing time with a good choice of excellent sandwiches, cakes and of course a proper pot of tea. All ages will love it for different reasons.
