On a cold snowy Saturday afternoon, we were a bit weary of going here thinking it would be a touristy run of the mill kinda tearoom. We were very wrong, there is plenty of tables and space. The pies were so tasty and were served warm with a mised salad not just a bit of limp lettuce you seem to get in so many places. We didnt have room for cake, but the scones looked amazing as did all the other cakes on show, definetly worth a visit for lunch, not the cheapest place in town, but the quality and choice made it worth it

Popped in on a wintry day to sample the cream tea. We liked the fact that you could customise the cream tea by swapping tea for coffee or strawberry jam for lemon curd. Good value at £4.99. The scones were excellent - fresh and warm.
I perused the menu - 57 varieties of cake, all displayed on the counter so you could make an informed choice. They also serve hot pies, cold pies, quiche, wraps, sandwiches, baguettes - all with salad - no chips here. You could also get speciality ice cream, milkshakes and alcoholic drinks. Prices seemed very reasonable, especially for Stratford.
The place was popular on a snowy afternoon. It looks appealing from the outside. Don't be put off if it looks full - there are 4 separate seating areas inside (including a brass rubbing room containing large brasses) and 3 rooms upstairs.
Service is order and pay at the counter. Everyone was very friendly. They do takeaway cakes and pies too. A great place and I'll be back again to sample more of their offerings (if I can decide what to choose).

We stumbled upon Hobsons whilst looking for a pub for sunday lunch. We were so tempted by what we saw in the window that we decided to skip the roast and give it a go. Im not a pie person but was tempted by what i saw and they were so good, really tasty and cooked perfectly - we had beef and stilton and duck and orange. There was an extensive range of cake to choose from that looks amazing! A lot of heart goes in to this food and although perhaps at the more expensive end of the sandwich market you absolutely get what you pay for and its well worth the extra couple of quid. Next time we're in stratford we will head straight for this place for lunch.

Before out Town walk we had a delicious High Tea upstairs at Hobsons, Barry and Allan both were absolutely perfect with the preparations previous to our company event visit and helped with the dietary needs of some of our colleagues. The scones were enormous and the Victoria sponge was a delight. At arrival the tables were already set with lovely sandwiches , coffee, tea and prosecco, We didn't manage to eat everything as it was so much food! And we didn't even try all the cakes and pies yet!!! As we were leaving at 4 PM people were queuing outside for a table! An absolute must to go to when you love your cakes and other yummy things. Thank you Allan and Barry and all the other staff , we enjoyed every crumb! We will be back for sure! One tip before you visit: prepare yourself for a lot of delicious food!!!! enjoy

After a long day of walking around Stratford, my family and I decided to go somewhere for lunch. Hobsons Patisseries had been recommended to us by some close friends. So, we made our way to the small cafe. The rustic interior and homely feel made us instantly attracted to the place. The only issue was that all of the tables were taken and they were very squashed together, so it was quite hard to get a seat. Eventually, we found ourselves a table. Another issue was that you had to queue to order and the queue was extrememly long. We were queueing for atleast 15 minutes. After ordering, the meal was bought to us. I've got to say, it was worth the wait! My daughter ordered a ham and cheese sandwich. It came out on a long plate with crisps, salad and 4 large sandwiches! The coffees were fresh and the scones were also obviously just out of the oven. My daughter also purchased a Strawberry milkshake which was fresh and obviously homemade. Overall, we were extremely pleased with out meal and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend it to all.
