A short distance from Stratford-upon-Avon this place offers a chance to explore a little more about Shakespeare away from the town. It’s set up as a working Tudor farm, and has several rare breeds of sheep, cows etc. There are also two of the original buildings on site which are available to explore.
The people operating the farm are friendly and willing to share their knowledge of the crafts and lifestyles from the Tudor times.
It probably helped that the weather was glorious and we could wander at will around what is actually a large site.
There is ample parking at the place and I believe it is also possible to visit from the open top tour bus. Whichever way you elect to go, it’s well worth the effort and is included on the five house ticket for the Shakespeare homes.
