Staying in Stratford for three nights (not at the Mary Arden). Decided to have an evening meal at the Mary Arden Inn. My wife chose rump steak which arrived with no steak knife and was a mass of gristle. She also thought it tasted sour and the peas were undercooked. She did not want to make a fuss but i did mention it when paying - the answer was 'I'll tell the chef' !!. Needless to say we will never visit again. My ham, egg and chips were edible but eggs were cold.
How a pub can charge for such rubbish is beyond me!

After researching lots of different places, booked 4 rooms at the Mary Arden Inn for a family get-together. From when we arrived before lunch, everything was perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful, and gave us early access to our rooms. Service at dinner was excellent, food was fine and good value. Thanks to all the staff for making it a great weekend.

Conveniently situated in the heart of Shakespeare country this attractive inn offers great food and drink, comfortable rooms with friendly and attentive service. Highly recommended. Wilmcote is a quiet and attractive village and an idesl location for visiting Stratford and other Midlands attractions. Mary Arden's House and farm are opposite the Inn and are well worth a visit , look out for the birds of prey including a giant eagle owl.

My friend and I recently had a saturday night in the Mary Arden Inn. We didn't want to stay in Stratford itself, but this lovely little village is 5 minutes away by train and the hotel a 5 min walk to the station. The room was great very clean with lovely comfortable beds and soft linen. We had a few minor problems that were very quickly and professionally sorted out and in no way affected our stay. The breakfast was amaising the following morning and the attitude of the staff was second to none we would highly recomend a stay there. The people in the village are really friendly too.

Room Tip: from what I could see when the rooms were being cleaned all the rooms looked great.

This inn offers good basic accommodation at a budget price. The pub meals are very good and the whole place busy and friendly. It is extremely well-placed for Stratford Upon Avon, Kenilworth and all of the Shakespearean attractions. Good value!
