“Very close to the stage”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

While the RSC give definitive productions anyway, the theatre itself here with it's stage jutting out into the auditorium creates a space that feels intimate. Great acoustics too - could hear every word!

“The three "shipwreck" plays in three days”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

It's a treat as an American to be able to visit Stratford's Shakespeare Theatre and see three plays in three days, particularly when the same actors perform them all. I guess my major dislike is the ticket prices, though I think part of the reason for that is that subscribers get the best seats before the general public gets to choose. For all three plays, we were in the nose-bleed seats in the balcony--and for each of the plays the experience was a bit different, in that sight and sound varied from place to place. But overall, it's an experience worth having. I'll do it again at my next opportunity.

“Merry Wives of Windsor - hilarious!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

This was the best Shakespeare play we have seen - well acted, great cast, good seats, wobbly set! A great play to be enjoyed by anyone, not just die hard Shakespeare fans!

“Amazing building”

The mix between old and new is amazing. Great bars but if you want espresso on arrival make sure you cross the main bar and turn right!

The tour of the theatre was excellent and very informative.
The views from the tower were also very good (we did have an lovely sunny day weatherwise).
