“Lovely place to be on a sunny day”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

I love Bancroft Gardens on a sunny day, and have been visiting the area since my school days. When the weather is nice, it's a hive of activity with families having picnics and there are street entertainers. It's beautifully kept, with The Royal Shakespeare Theatre as a backdrop, and the River Avon to the other side. It's a lovely spot to take children; you can watch the canal boats and other craft on the river, feed the ducks, and The Butterfly Centre and Rec are just the other side of the river.

“Delightful sculptures by the River Avon”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

The grass & the lawns would be great on a warm sunny day but in January it was very cold & the River Avon was near to breaking its banks! Still there were the colourful barges, the magnificent Swan Fountain & the Gower Memorial [which featured Hamlet, Lady Macbeth, King Henry V & Falstaff as likelike sculptures]. Take you camera & enjoy it!
