The Brook Lodge was recommended to us by people who we know as a good B&B option near Stratford-upon-Avon. We found the proprietors very friendly and the place is professionally run. We had a twin room which consisted of a double and a twin bed. The room was a decent size with a reasonable amount of storage and was very clean. The beds were comfortable. There was lots of local information for people who did not know the locality and there was plenty of parking. The breakfast was very good. The big drawback for me was the decor / facilities. Our en-suite had an avocado toilet (1970's?) and shower cubicle and unusually the hand basin (salmon pink) was in our bedroom rather than in the bathroom. The furniture was very dated although in reasonable condition. The bathroom needed some work with signs of damp in the plaster and poorly repaired holes in the walls. The shower was also only adequate. We paid £64 per night for the 2 nights we were there and compared with the many other B&B's we have stayed at I thought this was a little expensive although I am not sure how it compares with other places in Stratford. If the decor was improved this B&B could easily get a 4 or even 5 star rating from me.
