My husband, 2 children, the dog & I had a 4 night break in a snug. It was thoroughly enjoyable. The site is lovely, the toilet/shower block is basic but very clean. The 99p breakfast is a bargain! The kids & dog ran around all day every day & had so much fun! Fishing by the river was very relaxing. All in all, a nice break.

Stayed Mon to Fri in a 3 bedroom riverside lodge. 2 adults and 4 teens but enough room. Lovely setting out of the way by the river. Bearable walk into Stratford (20 mins) along Millionaires Row. Didn't really use any of site facilities but very quiet and clean even tho it was packed with caravans. Used as a base and visited Warwick Castle and Cadbury World. Ate at the Crown Tiddington which was vey friendly (drinks expensive, food reasonably priced and delicious)

We originally had only booked for seven nights but liked it so much we stayed on for a few extra nights ! Yes there are a lot of rules but to be honest if you have a modicum of common sense then they won't apply to you. Such as - do not put disposable bbqs straight on to the grass, do not wear shoes in the shower cubicle etc etc. One thing I did find annoying was the fact that many dog owners on site found it perfectly acceptable to let their dogs bark at any time of the day ( or night ) not just an occasional bark but letting it go on for minutes at a time - very annoying ! The new clubhouse wasn't complete at the time of our visit ( 15/7/13 - 24/7/13 ) but looking at it I don't think it will be complete till next year. Its reputed to be costing in excess of three million pounds and it looks like it does. It is absolutely massive and looks like it should belong in Star Wars. Quite how this will fit in with everything else around it only time will tell.

The toilet/shower blocks are kept exceptionally clean ( they don't close for cleaning but are cleaned throughout the day ) by a Polish man named Richard who doesn't speak much English but keeps them all pristine. All the wardens are friendly and will stop for a chat when they are not showing people to their pitches ( there is a constant stream of units arriving from 1200 to 2000 ). It was very busy when we were there and there were site full notices up on a couple of days. Never tried the 99p breakfast but it seemed busy enough in the café ( strange opening hours ) The café itself looks well past its sell by date, its just an ols portakabin with a few tables out front under a metal framed canopy. We walked into Tiddington village, only five minutes walk where I can recommend The Crown pub for an excellent lunch or dinner ( except Mondays ). There is also a Spar store, off license, Chinese restaurant and an Indian Restaurant ! Stratford town centre is only about a mile away ( £6 in a taxi ) or you can use the excellent water taxis which depart from the site - £1.50 each way for an adult, they are good value for money and you also get to see the fabulous houses where the gardens run down to the river ( theres one for sale at the moment for £1.7 million ) All in all an excellent site, well run with good staff. We will be back, if only to see the new clubhouse when its complete.

Stayed in our Motorhome, the pitch was ok, quiet enough location.
The café was both good and bad, the evening meal of Steak and Pudding, chips and peas, looked better than it tasted, I think it was the pudding. My better half had the sausage and mash which she described as plastic.
Next morning we risked the 99p breakfast, sausage, bacon, egg and fried bread. Never going to win any awards besides value for money.

Over all ups and downs.

Oh yes, a must is the ferry service from the campsite to the town centre, well worth the £1.50 per person each way.

I stayed for a week and was surprised at how quiet the site was considering the amount of caravans on both sides of the river and the adjacent site. If this is achieved with all the rules and regulations then I am glad they are enforced. Whilst we all like children and have got some of our own, albeit, grown up, we do not want our holiday peace shattered with unruly, undisciplined ones. So, if certain individuals do not like this policy, then I suggest they go to Butlins. However, I have not visited during school summer holidays and would probably be a bit reluctant to. The location is wonderful, secluded, yet right on Stratford Upon Avons doorstep. I would recommend it to anyone. The only thing missing is a swimming pool and I have one minor gripe, the café staff are so miserable, but food is great.
