“Marvelous base of operations”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2010

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here at the Moonraker. Morris is delightful and very willing to help in any way possible. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Breakfast was delicious whether ordering the full hot breakfast, or cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit.

We stayed two nights with our luggage arriving later. Morris accepted our luggage when it was delivered so we could enjoy sightseeing. Parking right out front. Quite nice.

really excellent guest house. I have stayed here twice now and received the same excellent service and both rooms were of a high standard. The location is good - only a 5 minute walk into town. Lovely welcome on arrival and a cup of tea. Excellent breakfast.

i stayed at the moonraker with my partner on 14th feb 2010 for valentines day
it was 5 mins from rail station,10 mins from the town.so was impressed that close
when got in there morris the owner greeted us with a lovely smile made us feel welcome on arrival,on 1st appearances everything seemed clean tidy cosy and friendly
morris showed us to our room asked us what time we wanted breakfast in the morning and even asked us if we wanted a drink, very nice personal touch there i think.
once in room i found it lovely clean tidy airy roomy very bright not dull.bathroom ample size nice facilties on the tea and coffee.2 chocolates on the bed, found room better than pictures on website.we stopped in the titaina room.well worth the 75 pounds we paid
morris the owner was easy to locate when needed to get something off him.very quiet nice place
in the morning for breakfast nothing was too much trouble,ws well cooked andpresented nice.he even asked if we wanted top up on drinks and toast.
and finally on checkout was welcomed with lovely smile and he even offered to take us to train station which was nice of him.
told him we had lovely time and will definitaly be coming back again

I stayed in this place over a year ago now but it still stays in my mind - for all the wrong reasons. It was definitely the most overpriced and disappointing B&Bs I have ever encountered, but above all, it was STRANGE. As soon as we walked in, we were confronted by several miniature figurines and found that this would be a repeating feature throughout the house and in the rooms. Our room, which, as I recall was £90 per night, was cramped, tiny and musty. It was boiling hot at night but we couldn't adjust the temperature. And even though we asked for and reserved a double bed, we had two tiny twin beds, not even pushed together. The crazy Enya music playing in the background at breakfast and upon our arrival and checkout really topped it all off. Very strange. Everything else about Stratford-upon-Avon was lovely though, we had some wonderful meals and visits to historical sites. Too bad the B&B was such a disappointment.

We were quite surprised at how tiny the bedrooms and especially the bathrooms were. No room for luggage or even to both be up and about at the same time. B&B very clean, good location, food very good - parking iffy.

Would recommend if the rooms were not so very small.

Quiet rooms, 5mins walk to centre, carparking convenient, impecable service and amazing, organic breakfast. Top notch and is great value-for-monet. And, top puib is down the street.

My wife and I stayed two nights at Moonraker B & B. From the start, everything was great. Morris, the owner, agreed to pick us up from the train station. However, even if he had not, it is a short walk. To town center, the walk in only 15 minutes from Moonraker and that is not a lot of time. Breakfast was delicious, and can pretty much order anything you want. Information is plenty available but the friendliness of Morris is the most important reason to stay at Moonraker. Our stay was definitely worth the price and would stay there again.
