“Had a good stay”
Reviewed May 16, 2012

The host was very welcoming, room 2 was spacoius and the shower cubicle was huge. All linen spotless and the bed was very comfortable. room was at the back of the house overlooking the garden so no road noise. Breakfast was extrremely tasty, well cooked and well presented with a huge pot of tea . Parking and being close to Stratford town centre a real bonus. Would stay there again excellent value for money

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the house quieter

As I arrived a little early was apprehensive about this, however had a good welcome and was able to leave my car parked outside, whilst room was prepared. Hospitality very good, so far. Although my room did not have a 'loo' there was one very close by, no problem! Room clean, tidy with an excellent shower and ample tea making, cold drink facilities (re-plenished).
Breakfast tasty and promptly served, choice to start was fine ('specially fruit salad)

Maybe a little more coffee in cafetiere for that extra cuppa, though and two more slices of toast; to improve it ? Have made a further booking for the autumn and look forward to returning!

arrived with my teenage grand daughter to viist Shakespeare sights. road is full of b&b's & hotels, further away from the centre than i thought. but comfortable room , very clean, i think newly decorated, requested 9.15 breakfast and was accomadated, was given a door key almost on arrival, had to pay cash up front! and order breakfast at 2.30 the previous afternoon!, but all in all ok for 1 night stay

Room Tip: 3 was a double bed and a single although we booked a twin, therefore we had space

It`s not easy to get two single-occupancy rooms, 7 minutes walk from Stratford town centre, with parking, at reasonable rates. We couldn`t believe our luck. The rooms were doubles but Sunnydale let us have them (a last minute booking) at single rates, many hotels/B&Bs won`t. Breakfast was fine. Our hostess was very friendly. My shower room was small but fine. The bedroom was a reasonable size. Bed firm. Bedlinen crisp. Warm room. You could hear traffic noise in my front-facing room but it was quiet between 11pm ish to 7.30am ish. Overall, a good-value, well-located, well-kept B&B. I wouldn`t hesitate to stay there again.

This is our 5th visit and it is one of the best B&B's in Stratford, the double room is always clean and tidy with a good shower. The breakfast sets you up for the rest of the day, with fresh fruit, cereal, fruit juice and then a full English followed by toast and plenty of tea or coffee. With the sausages and bacon being sourced from the local butcher certainly no cheap options with this breakfast. The host, Helena, is very welcoming and can not do enough for you to make your stay a good one.
We will be back. Bob & Audrey

Good location only 7 minutes from centre of strattford, lovely host, breadfast well presented all round pleasant stay, only thing i found was double bed and pillows are very hard, but not anything that would put me off returning again. Off road parking is also a bonus.

Room Tip: we had room number 1 not many stairs at back of house, lovely and quiet

We stayed at The Sunnydale Guest House for one night as we had tickets to the RSC theatre. All in all we were happy with our stay and it did the job adequately. Rooms are quite spacious (although the bathroom was not!), clean and well equiped. There was however a strong smell of paint throughout so I'm guessing some rooms have been recently refurbished.
Breakfast was provided which was nice and off-road parking was useful. The town centre is around 10 minutes walk away and the lady that appears to run the house was most friendly.
We enjoyed our stay and if you require a comfortable night's sleep within reach of the town, at a good price, I recommend!
