Stayed only one night to go to theatre.A very beautiful hotel: tastefully decorated, mixing old with new perfectly. Fabulously comfy - we treated ourselves and stayed in the four-poster bed. It was worth every penny!! Probably the most comfy bed I've ever slept in. And the bath and shower were to die for! The staff were lovely: very friendly and very good.
My only criticisms would be the breakfast (full english), which wasn't as good as it could have been and sad looking buffet and the fact that, having parked some way away and walked carrying bags, there was no offer of a bell boy to carry the bags up to a £180 per night room. Parking is an issue which is mentioned quite clearly when booking. It is best to park briefly at the rear of the hotel, book in and then drive to car park, in order to save energy.
However, I would go again most definitely.More
