Reception check in very swift and helpful with offer of luggage assistance as there is no lift.
Room comfy and reasonably spacious , the bathroom had a very good shower but surprisingly no fan to keep the steam away. The hotel has 2 "eateries" a pub which serves simple meals called The Bear and a French Bistro serving more restaurant type meals in a bistro setting.
We had lunch in the Bear and found it very good and the next day had an evening meal in the bistro and the food was excellent. Of an evening (Saturday) the pub got quite noisy but we couldn't hear it in the room which as nice and quiet. We were room only but ate 1 breakfast in the hotel and although it was adequate it wasn't of top quality for the price - nicer ,better value breakfasts can be found in Stratford. The hotel is in a great location about 7 mins walk from the theatre and about 10 mins walk to the centre of town it close enough for convenience but not too close so that it was noisy. It also has a pleasant aspect overlooking the river.More
