We found all of the staff, without exception, to be attentive, courteous and polite. Akshada was a star!
Considering there were two weddings and a very large 40 th wedding anniversary celebration occurring, the quality of the service and the food which we received did not suffer.
The six rooms that we occupied for the two nights were clean, well furnished and comfortable.
In summary we would heartily recommend this hotel.

We paid in advance for two nights (non-refundable) but only stayed for one.

Our room, on the first floor of the annex, had a lovely bathroom and was reasonably spacious. Unfortunately there were two things that meant we had an extremely poor night's sleep. The springs had worn out on the mattress and so even the tiniest movement caused the whole thing to pitch and heave. Secondly, a water pipe was running through the vent for the aircon -- this meant that every time someone ran a tap or flushed the loo we could hear water gurgling noisily through our room.

Breakfast the next day was lovely, and all the staff were charming (with the exception of the first person we encountered at reception when we checked in, who we seemed to be inconveniencing).

The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Stratford.

So if they upgraded the mattresses and fixed the plumbing it would be a great hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid room 57!

Had a Spa break at Alveston Manor Hotel and we had a lovely time. The staff, without exception were fantastic and professional at all times. Our treatments were done by Helen and Jade who were lovely. We ate in the restaurant two nights and had enjoyable meals both nights, breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. The hotel is only a 5 min walk to the town where the shopping is good, with loads of places to eat and drink. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. If I was being really picky I probably could find fault with something but it would be very insignificant and not worth mentioning. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The rooms nearer to the spa are away from Reception, quieter and very handy if having treatments.

My Wife and I stayed here while visiting Stratford-upon-Avon for the weekend. We arrived before check in and popped into reception to see how the car parking works. Its a pay and display car park but guests are only charged £5 for the duration of their stay.
The first welcome at reception wasn’t the warmest. After doing some sightseeing, we returned to the hotel and received a much warmer welcome from a different member of staff. Not only did the second receptionist seem much happier but she also offered us a map of the town, highlighted some key attractions and offered to book us a table in the restaurant that evening.
Location is ideal – its less than a 5 minute walk into the main part of the town.
The hotel room had all the facilities you would expect, tea and coffee making facilities, bottled water, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, tv etc.
Unfortunately there were a couple of things that let it down - one being a liquid splatter stain up the curtain - and the second being a dead spider 2 inches above eye level on the wardrobe which was there for the duration of our stay. We left it to see if the staff would clean it - they didn’t. The rest of the room was cleaned to a high standard but these things let it down - see pictures.
We didn’t eat there in the evening but breakfast was extremely good! Lots of choice between sweet and savoury buffet - cooked breakfast was delicious and the staff were very polite and efficient.
Word of caution though – there was a wedding at the hotel on the Saturday – on the Sunday morning, we went for breakfast and were lucky enough to be seated straight away as you would expect, however 10 minutes after sitting down there was already a queue of people forming outside the dining area. It seemed like they didn’t have enough tables to accommodate everyone which led to people waiting in the corridor with drinks. Some of which were waiting over 30 minutes – I know because they were stood in the corridor looking through the windows at us eating.

In summary, all the staff except one worked very hard to make our stay a pleasant one. The waiting staff at breakfast were some of the best we’ve experienced. The room was a nice size with good facilities but a couple of cleanliness issues let it down. Would I stay here again? Not sure – the location is great, as were the staff and facilities, but the two issues in the room and the guests queuing for breakfast make me feel I’d be better off looking elsewhere.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from reception - the music from the wedding was extremely loud.

We enjoyed our stay at the Alveston Manor. The location was great, the rooms were very comfortable and clean (if not a little small) but found that some of the normal inclusions that other hotels offered during our time in the UK were extras here.

Parking, Internet/Wi-Fi, using a credit card to settle the bill and even Eggs Benedict for breakfast were additional charges.

Whether the team member was in the restaurant, reception, bar or maid service they were friendly, polite, well trained and customer focused in every respect. It was a delight to be a customer at this hotel. Breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal when we ate in one night. Great bar. Cleanliness of Pool and spa excellent. Bedrooms in a modern wing were satisfactory. Hotel really well located for the sights of Stratford and it's excellent restaurants ( see review of the Opposition)

Have just got home from a fantastic weekend at Alveston Manor. From the moment we arrived we felt spoilt, pampered and treated as if we were special guests. The room was a nice size, very comfy bed, huge bathroom and walk in closet. We used the pool and sauna which were lovely and we had a wonderful meal in the hotel restaurant on the first night. Valentina was a star - but then every member of staff we came across was polite and happy. Breakfast was lovely both days and the cooked breakfast was piping hot and just enough. I really can't fault the hotel at all - and I can recommend pre-paying for the dinner. We paid £20 each and the set price is £29.95. Good value!
Straford is lovely and we had long walks along the river and sat outside in the sun drinking coffee - we even had coffee at the RSC (a touch of culture was needed). Can't wait to go back and shall certainly stay at Alveston Manor again.
