You will always receive a warm, friendly welcome and the home made soups in particular,t are excellent. I do, however, think the management are missing a trick - tea and coffee are available all day; elevenses - perhaps coffee and a toasted tea cake - not a problem. But, if you wanted a toasted tea cake to go with a pot of tea after 3 pm - not possible because the kitchen is closed! Surely a toaster behind the bar and a selection of cakes/pastries and toasted tea cakes in an enclosed cake stand on the end of the bar is not beyond the bounds of possibility?? Whilst I appreciate Pomeroys is first and foremost a bistro/restaurant, and a very good one at that, it wouldn't take much to accommodate additional business, i.e. the 'weary shopper' brigade - surely, any trade is good trade.
