booked this last minute, don't let the outside put you off, our room was newly decorated, spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Staff were pleasant and friendly. The little things make a difference too, bottled water in room and toiletries in bathroom and even DVD player. Only negative point is the parking, it appeared we had the last space, thankfully, my hubby is good at parking but it was very awkward to get back out of the space, and took a number of moves to get out of the car park. Hope all other rooms are to the same standard as we would definitely look to stay again.

Firstly I drove past the hotel as its more a restaurant than a hotel when passing. Parking was limited and terrible, we had 2 cars as my partner was working and he could not fit a Passat Estate in the car park as it was so cramped so had to park over the road and pray he wasn't clamped!
The receptionist had a hygiene problem and the smell lurked in reception. I also didn't enjoy having to walk through a restaurant to get to my room each time.
The room in general seemed ok, there were quite a few cobwebs and spiders lurking in the corners. Bathroom was cleaner minus a few rogue hairs and the bottom of the loo hadn't seen a scrub for some time. You could hear every movement from the room above and unfortunately they decided to pace the room most of the night!
I think they need to advise that parking is very limited and invest in new bedding that isn't stained or have big holes in it. On a positive note the air con worked which was a relief as the window was sealed shut!

Stayed three nights at very short notice. The first room we were shown was in the main building but on the second floor. Although this was a pleasant, spacious & clean room we asked if an alternative was available as it was a steep climb and we had a good deal of heavy luggage. The receptionist (Gemma) could not have been more helpful and accommodating and offered us a room in the new extension at the rear of the property which was far more suitable. Our room (312) was spacious, spotlessly clean & well decorated with tea making facilities including a good biscuit selection! The bed was comfortable (extra pillows & blankets in the wardrobe) the bathroom was well stocked and there were plenty of beautifully laundered towels. We did not eat in the restaurant in the evening but breakfast offered a selection of cereals, fruit etc and the cooked breakfast was very good if service was a little slow. The overall service was welcoming, friendly & efficient Considering the price we feel we had excellent value for money and would stay again if we found ourselves in this neck of the woods.

Room Tip: Rooms in the extension at the rear are quieter.

Stayed one night. The room was a very small double, it was quite difficult for two people to move around in. The furnishings were good and the bed was very comfortable and the decoration was ok if a bit bright. There were complimentary bottled water and biscuits and tea making facilities. The bathroom was a decent size and had a bath and shower and toiletries were supplied. The only negative with the bathroom was the state of the plug hole on the bath it was disgusting and almost blocked with hair. Other than that the room was very clean. The themed lounge and restaurant were very nice and the cooked breakfast was ok. We did not dine in the restaurant in the hotel we ate at Raffles in the sister hotel. Remember to take your room card to get a 10% discount on food. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we would stay here again.

We decided to have a quick weekend away to Warwick for a bit of downtime and shopping.
Hotel - the hotel is a little jaded and does need modernising............but it was clean and the service was very welcoming. We had a four poster bedroom, very spacious. A nice large ensuite bathroom with loads of complimentary bathroom goodies and huge white towels.
Food - we ate out (Almanack in Kenilworth which was excellent!)
Breakfast - a combination of help yourself to all the usual continental options and then order whatever you fancied cooked fresh and hot, The service was a little slow in the morning - but when it arrived it was excellent.
I would recommend this hotel, its central, well priced large rooms and an excellent breakfast.
