Stayed here when I was visiting friends in Kenilworth. It is located well across the way from a nice open park and on a street with cafes and restaurants.

I was given a loft room which was bright, airy and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was modern and well equipped. I noticed the same issue that has been brought up in other reviews with regards to the noise as the doors aren't that soundproof to people in corridors. Having said that, I was at the end of the corridor and not by communal areas like other reviewers.

The price was reasonable although nothing to write home about.

I have stayed at this hotel many times now, & each stay is worse than the last. The breakfast chef has regular day off (without telling anyone) so no cooked breakfasts on those days. One day this week I had to wait half an hour for my breakfast (technical issues?) On the same day I had to wait half an hour for a dessert., & tonight a had to wait 40 minutes for fish & chips (the original fast food). the food is very good but the staff in the restaurant spend more time chatting (not to the guests) than doing their job. The rooms suffer from noise from the restaurant & in my room the central heating. On reflection this is my last stay here, it's just not a relaxing place to stay

We just returned from a thoroughly enjoyable stay in this lovely hotel. 'Boutique' can on occasion be a euphemism for 'small', 'shabby', or just a bit weird. Milsom's happily, was none of these things. Chosen for it's proximity to a wedding we were attending we were entirely unfamiliar with the area and very pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was set on Kenilworth's old high street, looking over ancient picturesque ramshackle houses and just a few short minutes walk from the beautiful Abbey gardens and Kenilworth castle. There was ample free parking in the car park behind the hotel. Another notable plus were the two extremely old but rather good pubs within a short distance, one fully modernised and offering experimental cocktails and premium European beers along with a view of the castle, and the other (conveniently opposite the hotel) more of a spit and sawdust pub but nonetheless offering a slice of history and an excellent selection of real ales.

The hotel itself managed to successfully combine rustic charm (beams, quirky staircase, the odd low ceiling) with clean modern design and furnishings. Our room (6) looked just like the website photo and was pretty and thoughtfully designed. Although the proportions were more country cottage than town house there was ample space and the bathroom was certainly above average. The entire hotel was tidy and spotlessly clean and the staff extremely helpful, even allowing us to check in earlier than the advertised time.

And as if things weren't nice enough, then there was the food. Being part of the Lock Fyne chain of restaurants did figure in our choice and we were not disappointed. Breakfasts options included superb full English or the delicious Eggs Benedict or Royale. Dinner was similarly excellent and the bar area sufficiently separate from the restaurant to be enjoyable in its own right.

In the spirit of full disclosure our main criticism was the failure of our Sunday newspaper to appear (it was taken off the bill without question) and the extreme temperature of the restaurant, owing to it's open plan design and proximity to the kitchens. The breakfast service on the first day was on the slow side but made up for on the second day by the single-handed waiter being not only supremely efficient but still having time to smilingly take our friends small children to see the lobsters.

If we can engineer an excuse to return to Kenilworth I very much hope to stay here again.

Just back from a long weekend in Kenilworth at a great hotel!
from check in to leaving all staff both in the hotel and restaurant were top class and although the room we had was on the small side it was realy well furnished and spotlesly clean.
The restaurant is a nice change from the standard hotel offering and is not overpriced and the breakfast choice is superb.
We would return to milsoms kenilworth without hesitation and would now like to try some other hotels in the Milsom chain.

Received a very friendly welcome and reception happy for unto leave our car in the car park for the day before checki in at 16:00. Room 3 was a really pleasant surprise. Lovely beams and furniture. Lots of space and very clean. We've easily paid more than double for rooms ofthis size and quality. Only criticism was breakfast where service wasn't up to the standard of everything else, with a mistake in our order, quite poor coffee and a buffet table that wasn't fully stocked. Didn't reduce our enjoyment overall though and would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Room 3 was perfect. Great size, unusual layout and some original features.

Great welcome to a Client freindly hotel. Rooms are well laid out and very individual. Great Showre fluffy towels and crisp bed linen. everything is spotless. This Hotel and its staff make this a great place to stay. The bar is great and the food is something else the resturant means unlike a lot of hotels there is no need to go out.

The room has been thoughtfully designed with contemporary furniture which works really well. The bathroom is spacious and has a reasonably generous bath.

Everything is immaculately clean with good storage.

OK – so the room was really nice. What about everything else?

Food: I rarely eat in the hotel restaurant, other than breakfast, but I had had a long day followed by a two hour cycle ride which reduced my sense of adventure. This turned out to be a blessing because the food there is absolutely fantastic, so much so that I ate in the restaurant on two evenings.

Breakfast was equally good with high quality ingredients cooked to perfection.
Anything else? Well yes, they managed to look after my road bike so I did not need to pull it to bits and put it in my boot.

Why did I stay here, the Holiday Inn was full which worked out very well for me, a boutique hotel with excellent food and cheaper. Fantastic.

Final point, the “rude” staff where nowhere to be seen.

Room Tip: Room 21 is good, save time by going down the fire exit to your car.
