We have just spent two lovely days at Buckle House. It is abit difficult to find as Sat Nav takes you down a farm track however, this property is well worth the minor problem in locating it. We received a very warm welcome on arrival from our hosts Donna and Mark and a lovely cup of coffee and home made cake. We stayed in the upstairs balcony room with lovely views over the gardens. The bedroom was fantastic and very well equipped and has some lovely touches such as good quality toiletries included in the price. Breakfast is fantastic and a great way to start your day, all jams are home made and are really lovely. We had to buy some to take away with us. Excellent quality and value for money with hosts who make you very welcome indeed.

Room Tip: First floor balcony room is very spacious and well equipped

This home is lovely out in the country, far from any noise. The hosts are attentive and cook a wonderful breakfast in the dining room overlooking their garden. The room is very clean and comfortable. Our first time in England, this very inviting inn made it very memorable.

I have never felt the need to write a review, however Buckle House bed and breakfast far exceeded our expectations, so this is a first. We were looking for somewhere to break a long journey and it was ideal. In fact it was so comfortable we stayed an extra night! The food, rooms and hosts were excellent. Mark and Donna have found their niche in life being natural hosts and they make you feel so welcome. We would definitely stay at Buckle house again.

Mark and Donna are fantastic hosts. The food was great, the accommodations were wonderful and they even offered to give us a ride to and from the pub they recommended for dinner (which we accepted). It's a little hard to find but well worth the trip! Also - go the Bell Inn - fantastic food!

We found Buckle House online, when looking for a base for a weekend away with friends. It lived up to its reviews! You won't find better hosts than Mark and Donna, who welcomed us with tea and flapjack in the lounge and booked us in at a local restaurant for our first night's meal. The rooms are excellent and the breakfasts couldn't be beaten. The fresh milk in the fridge in each room is an example of the attention to detail exhibited throughout. When refreshing this after our first night, our bottle of bubbly was noticed and glasses left in preparation for our enjoyment! We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Buckle House.

Room Tip: Room 1, with the balcony looking onto the garden, is fantastic.

We booked Buckle House as we had read the positive reviews and am so glad we did. Mark and Donna are wonderful hosts. We were shown to our room and it stunning: a large room with a king size bed, sofa, a balcony with a lovely view of the garden and even a mini fridge with a jug of fresh milk for our tea. Mark made us a pot of tea and biscuits and we had this in the spacious lounge. Nothing is too much trouble for hosts: they will make up a picnic on request, provide a corkscrew and glasses for you to enjoy your wine in the garden and will even let you take home some of their garden produce if you do 10 minutes gardening!
The breakfast choice was the best I have encountered: kedgeree, eggs Benedict, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs as well as a full English breakfast. They make their own jam and marmalade too. All this for £85 for the two of us.

Room Tip: We had room 1, which had a balcony but I think any room would be lovely.
