Its my second time coming here. The goat curry is off the chart! I like everything about this place! Awesome staffs, great music, fantastic food, good vibes, wonderful atmosphere! Food is flavorful and colorful.. a wonderful presentation! The cocktails are amazing! They usually have 2 for 1 promo for cocktails and 3 course meal deal for evening dinner. This time we ordered Goombay Smash 2 for 1 cocktail and i ordered 3 course meal of crispy whitebaits for starter and goat curry (again!) for main, followed by caramelized BBQ pineapple with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Reasonably priced. Truly satisfied.

Was a very busy evening but we 2 4 1 cocktails which were delicious, then seated in a rather cramped no privacy seating area, jerk chicken rice & peas was nice and friend had goat curry planting with sides which he said was tasty, £20 for both so nice spicy start to the evening.

Turtle Bay has to be one of my favourite places to visit when in Newcastle & today's visit was even better as they have 5 new cocktails on the menu, we tried the Goombay Smash which was nice & quite strong followed swiftly by a Roots Culture, this has to be my new favourite, as usual friendly banter whilst being served by an informative member of staff, good vibe despite not being as busy as normal, the food being served looked great, but we'd eaten earlier so didn't have the appetite, another great visit

On a recent visit to Newcastle for food, it was decided to try this new (ish) addition to Newcastle's restaurant scene. It offers an alternative to the usual cuisines. I plumped for whitebait for starter which was very much like spiced scampi, very palatable. I also had the ubiquitous jerk chicken. Plenty of juicy chicken in a very pleasant sauce. Had the spiced chocolate pot to finish, which was certainly different (chocolate set mousse with chilli). Pleasantly warming. It is fairly reasonably priced, offers pleasant surroundings and wide menu. I shall be back

We often come here and I had wondered when the menu would be refreshed. The chickpea wrap is a welcome addition for a vegetarian like me, however my mum misses the salmon toastie now. The cocktails seem to have gone up in price but they are very tasty and worth it in happy hour. The food was great but the service was lacking any concern. Server seemed offended we didn't want dessert. We would visit again as the service always seems to vary.
