“Enjoyable food and good atmosphere”
Reviewed April 1, 2013 via mobile

We had the antipasto and calamari starters. Antipasto was a fantastic selection and possibly a bit large for a starter. A pizza and sea bass as the mains, well cooked and great flavour. Pana cotta was simply fantastic.
Decent selection of wines by the glass.
Not cheap but worth the money.

“The Sardinian tasting menu was great!”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

The Sardinian tasting menu that was offered on Living Social was excellent value for money, in fact I felt guilty that we had only paid that amount for the beautiful meal and attentive staff! I have a wheat intollerance and despite it being an offer, the staff and the chef went out of his way to make me feel that it was not a problem and served me some wonderful food! My partner and I enjoyed the many courses brought to us and the Prosseco that wwas complimentary. We bought a bottle of the house wine and that was lovely too. We had a great couple of hours at Sabatinis! We have spent many more pounds in Michelin starred restaurants around Europe and have not always felt that the food and staff attention were up to scratch, however, this is a wonderful place for family or couples to dine.

“Sabatini's Quayside Restaurant”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

I visited this restaurant on Valentine's evening with my husband, we were given the best seat in the house and the food was what I could only describe as OUT OF THIS WORLD.
Service excellent and the whole ambiance of the place and evening was incredible. Since our experience I have re visited with my close friends and they commented that they have now found a new dining experience.
Oh by the way, our meal consisted of Lobster wrapped in Salmon(simply divine)
Well Done to All Staff.and a Huge Thank You
Can't wait to go back!

“Very plush, good food spoilt by poor service.”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

We went to Sabatini's one night last week for an early dinner arriving there about 6 pm. They have a special early eaters menu for those who want it which is very reasonable. We decided to give that a miss and went with the regular menu instead. The only other table occupied was a party of six women plus us so it was not busy at all. Sabatini's is very nice, plush and impressive with very caring, well mannered staff. The steak was to very good for and the sea bass very nice indeed. Only problem was that the actual service was very poor and we had to wait such a long time for our meals. No doubt when the place is busy the service will presumably be better as more chefs will be on but waiting half an hour for a steak that takes five minutes to cook and a fish dish that takes much much longer is not very good at all. If you have plenty of time great but if your in a bit of a hurry give it a miss. The draught lager wasn't very good by the way. No doubt first one out of the pump that night but would have been better suited down the drain ! Next time, if there is one, and it is early evening, I will be having bottled lager instead

All in all it would have been a nice experience as the food was very good however the wait was far too long and simply not good enough - if Sabatini's want to know why they are not attracting early evening customers hopefully this may help.

“Delicious Italian food and half price cocktails to boot!!”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

We were staying at a hotel nearby for training and were reliably informed by local colleagues also attending the training to give the mediocre food in the hotel a miss and try Sabatini’s Italian Restaurant instead. We were so glad we did.

The host, décor and ambiance were warm and welcoming and the food was delicious. We ordered a bread basket to share (more of a bread hamper to be honest) which had a good selection of fresh breads. Followed by pasta and risotto for main. Both meals were delicious authentic Italian fare, and I believe reasonably priced for both the quality and quantity of the meal.

If, like us, you are lucky enough to be near there on a Thursday you can also take advantage of the half price cocktails which was an added bonus!!
