We were bought 2 tickets for the red carpet evening show of the mousetrap on saturday 16th feb as a xmas present by our son.On arrival we were greeted by our usher for the evening and a bottle of champagne , he escorted us to a private reception area for the drink, where he took our order for our meal which was in pasqualino's at the theatre. It was an excellant meal served by very pleasent staff and piping hot. When it was time for the show we were escorted upstairs to our seats in the grand circle. before going in our usher took our drinks order for the interval, which when the interval came were poured and ready for us again in the private reserved area where we were shown to. after the show we were taken back to collect our coats. I must say the evening was excellent and we were treated like royalty..VERY GOOD SHOW. AND THANKS TO ALL THE STAFF AT THE THEATRE ROYAL FOR A WONDERFUL EVENING>><MR & MRS PARKER>

Visited last night for the first time since refurbishment to see Mousetrap. The bar area was very busy upon entering but we were soon served and pre ordered drinks for the interval, although they were quite pricey. The seats are still uncomfortable to sit for a long period of time, but in the upper circle we had an amazing view. Found our drinks straight away in the interval however 13 minutes to down a large glass of wine was pushing it a little!! The production was excellent and on the whole we had a brilliant night.

Beautiful building and refurbishment, although on the several occasions visited have found seats could have been more comfortable. The latest attraction, The Mouse Trap, a secret well kept! We found totally amateur, boring and considering it was the longest running play ever, beggars belief! Spoilt an otherwise good night.

It was billed as a magnificent Agatha Christie stage play now in its 60th year so we went along to the Theater Royal to see the play now on tour. What a disappointment, what a bore. Fell asleep on several occasions during the play only to be wakened, not by thrilling action but by the constant shouting of 'Mollie Ralston' and' DS Trotter'. What half of the cast were there for goodness knows. No wonder the secret of 'who done it' still remains a secret - I suspect that most of the audience, like me, were fast asleep!

Since the refurbishment the theatre is both beautiful to look at inside and much more comfortable. A very enjoyable venue to see excellent touring productions and also the brilliant RSC seasons.
