A group of us stayed at Jesmond Dene House in November 2012 for a close friends birthday. The service we recieved upon arrival was fantastic, all of our rooms were upgraded and we couldn't have asked for more. We had lunch in the restaurant where again the service was second to none and the food was delicious. We then finished off the day with afternoon tea where the staff were most accomodating with a couple of allergies within the group.
We ventured into Jesmond on the evening by taxi which took no time at all before retiring to our comfy beds to await our delicious breakfast in the morning before heading home
I can't comment on the fitness centre or swimming pool as we didn't see or use either facilities
Was a truly delightful stay and would definately recommend to others

Recently stayed at Jesmond Dene House for my birthday. Had a fantasticly, relaxing stay. Surrounded by snow on the outside, and warm and cosy on the inside. Upgraded to a suite so even more perfect! The hotel was very busy as it was Burns night celebration, however the staff were still attentive to each and every guest in a personal way. Excellent location, within walking distance to Jesmond Dene.

This is a pleasant 4 star hotel located about a mile and a half from the city centre. The rooms are reasonably well furnished and equipped and of an adequate size. The real highlight is the excellent food. Dinner has a strong French influence and I enjoyed a very good steak with cafe de paris butter while breast of pheasant was appreciated. The breakfast is also of a high standard. Service is efficient and friendly.

Called in to Jesmond Dene House to meet a friend for coffee. Lovely to escape from the bustle of Newcastle City centre to this peaceful wooded setting.
Staff very helpful, coffee delicious, served with large home made biscuits.
Why go to one of the large chains of coffee shops, when, for the same price, you can sit beside a fire in a panelled alcove, enjoying some peace.
Will definitely be back - the afternoon tea looked delicious

I chose this hotel to celebrate my 40th birthday having considered a few options in the North East. From the moment I contacted the Event Coordinator (Abi Young) I received outstanding service and guidance which resulted in an amazing celebration with 80 guests, this was expertly managed on the night by Karen and her team. Along with friends and family from out of the area, we booked ten bedrooms and I received great praise and exceptional feedback from these guests concerning their accommodation. The food was exceptional - gorgeous evening buffet and outstanding Champagne breakfast, the band recommended by the Hotel (Laughing Jacks) perfectly complemented the stunning Great Hall. Well done Jesmond Dene and thank you.

Our thanks to an amazingly organised and friendly team for ensuring a family birthday lunch was an outstanding success. We had a family group of various ages and booked the Frank Rich room for Sunday lunch. The service (thank you Clement!) was exceptionally professional, the food outstanding and the atmosphere relaxed. The front of house team at reception could not have been more helpful and welcoming and Abi (Events Co-ordinator) was just brilliant. The next time we visit Newcastle we will definitely be staying at Jesmond Dene House..can't wait!
