“helpfull staff, great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 25, 2014

Just got back from a weekend stay at the quayside premier and have to say staff very good and helpful, hotel is in a great location. couple of minus points, our room on the 4th floor was small and could do with updating, although as always with premier inns, it was very clean. Our room was close to the Tyne bridge and I would suggest secondary double glazing is a must on that side of the building due to heavy traffic road noise. On balance a pleasant weekend with friendly people.

Room Tip: try getting a room away from the tyne bridge side of the building.

Booked a twin room for my cousin and I.. the room was so small that there was barely room to move between the end of the beds and the wall. The wifi would not connect. Staff are very good and attentive

The customer service standards were so high and staff were all so helpful and friendly even let me let my suitcase behind and let me lend an umbrella. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide range on offer and the veggie breakfast was a delight the chef came in early to cook it for me. It was the best night sleep off my life I have never had such a comfortable night sleep in my life and being right by quayside is very handy for the millennium bridge and the Baltic arts centre in Gateshead. The restaurant manager was amazing in sorting out my breakfast for the next morning. The rooms were flawless and so clean and inviting! What an amazing stay praise to the management and all the staff who work here you are outstanding!

Room Tip: Book a room at the back of the hotel so there is no noise coming from traffic and leave your suitcas...

Stayed here with 3 mates for one of their 40th birthdays. First time id been in Newcastle for the weekend, was really impressed. Hotel was good value for money (we paid £100 each for 2 x twin rooms for 2 nights), requested 2 rooms next to each other which wasnt a problem. Excellent location with plenty bars within a few mins walk, the Lloyds Quayside Bar is great if the sun is shining (which it did all weekend!) to sit out in the big beer garden). Hotel also has a bar/restaurant with decent prices. Would def return to this hotel next time i visit Newcastle, which might be a while to allow my body to fully recover from the punishment...

If you are looking to saying in a premier inn in Newcastle this is it. We arrived during the week (Wednesday) and as we were 4girls we had 2 rooms. When we checked in we asked could we maybe get rooms beside eachother and the receptionist happilyade that happen for us. This hotel is in a beautiful location, on the Tyne river overlooking the Tyne Bridge. There is also a number of little shops and bars around the area such as an express Tesco and Gregg's.

As the hotel is at the bottom of a pretty large hill it can be difficult to walk up however there is a bus that transports you to the main shopping areas.
I will most likely return to this hotel on a number of months for another mad experience in Newcastle.

I visit Newcastle twice a year to visit family and always make a point to stay here for the location and the hotel itself. Its situated right under the Tyne bridge so the view from the rooms facing that way are incredible! Helpful staff along with brilliant family rooms makes every visit amazing!
