“Very excellent accommodation !”
Reviewed April 30, 2014

We stayed at this premier inn last year and returned for an event in Newcastle. I travelled with two 10 year olds and myself. I remembered that the location was really handy. Even though it looks a good way out of Newcastle the road network is fast nearby and only 15 mins to drive and park at the south of the city. I love that there is a petrol station and co-op onsite ! Very handy.
I took the lads out for a drive to the beach at Whitley Bay for them to play and get soaked ! Again only 20 min easy drive.

The room was immaculate. The bathroom was immaculate. Everything worked which is rare in hotels. The beds were very comfortable and big. The staff were lovely and helpful. The TV worked well and the wifi was good and easy to access.

The brewers faire pub attached is a blessing. Great breakfast. Great evening meals and lovely staff. The meal deal is a real bonus and saved me loads !

I will come back here everytime when we go to Newcastle.

Room Tip: There are quiet zones for families with young children and babies on the first floor.

Stayed here early March whilst visiting friends.
Never stayed in a premier inn before and was pleasantly surprised.
The room had been decorated to a high standard, was very clean and had all that we needed.
We were welcomed on arrival and after a long drive were pleased to be able to eat in the beefeater next door which was very nice.
Breakfast was provided in the beefeater also and there was plenty of choice.
For the price of the stay we were very pleased and would stay there again

This was our first ever visit to a premier inn and we only stayed the one night but it was warm and welcoming, very clean with the added bonus that the staff were very cheerful and pleasant. The rooms were large came with a big screen TV, comfortable chair to sit in and good quality tea and coffee. It is located in an ideal area for transport links with a good option for food if you want to eat out The only down side and this is no reflection on premier Inn was the overhead planes at silly hours during the early morning. We will definitely use the premier inn chain again A++++, they are poles apart from their American counterparts in the industry who no longer put customer satisfaction first

Just stayed the one night, Family room was very clean and quite, large flat screen tv on the wall, dinner was excellent, steak was cooked as ordered and very tasty, service very good. Breakfast was below par, fried eggs hard and sausages overcooked and deep fried as apposed to grilled, but service was ok. premier Inn should consider free Wi-Fi for residents, instead of the first 30 minutes.

This is an excellent example of the Prem. Inn chain. The only downside was the roundabout on which the hotel is located, which is a 4 or 5 lane monster which I had to drive around twice before I could plot my route from lane to lane in order to get to the correct exit!

Once inside, the reception staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick and pleasant. The rooms were typical P.I., very spacious with good TV, tea/coffee etc and a nice clean bathroom with good shower and liquid soap/shower gel. Plenty of towels provided.

As we needed the single bed, our receptionist friend came up and made it up very promptly.

All beds were firm but comfy, and the bedding was up to the usual high quality.

The Beefeater adjoining provided excellent dinner and breakfast.

We would certainly stay here again for visits to Newcastle and Northumbria.

Finally a hotel that actually puts 4 nice clean soft white towels out when there's four people in a room. The rooms were reasonably spacious even with four in the room though it was far to warm and no way of calling the room down hence why only a rating of very good.
Everything was clean and fresh looking staff very pleasant.
Doubt we'd have any need to return to the area but if we did we would stay there again
