Called in after cinema, we we seated at a table of our choice and had the menu and ordering procedure explained, duly went up and ordered , an American and a barbecue, one fries and one coleslaw , the drinks were on the expensive side £5.95 for a glass of wine same for a large lager. Saw the chip put on the pass and they sat there for 4-5 mins before the burgers, I commented on this to the waitress, and they were immediately replace with a fresh bowl, coleslaw delicious, would go back

This was my second visit to the HMBC first one was about a month ago in the metro centre when before ordering the fire alarm went off and after ten minutes of screaming we left. So lets have another go in the gate newcastle. Food order came incorrect with an extra portion of chips and no onion rings. We ordered a burger plain that's nothing on at all it arrived with cheese and onion relish. The replacement burger took 12 mins by this time the rest of us had finished and all the sides were cold.
My partner had to use the disabled toilet. Shock horror no toilet paper in cubicle. It took staff 10 minutes to return with loo roll. When pointing out there is a check list on the wall that hadn't been signed for 4 hours the reply was we have had a quite day and the usual girl that looks after toilets was sent home.
Finally the staff started to play around with air conditioning unit which was above the table next to us. Using one of three remotes the turned the unit on to cold setting and could not find away to turn it back to a sensible heat. Bloody freezing and all finished our meal in coats.

Lastly about the food. You pay about £7.50 for a burger which is a small lump of prosessed meat in a over sized dry bun. Taste was ok but we all wished we had just gone to mcdonald's.

Hopefully staff will understand we wont be returning.

delicious burgers - would recommend Jimmy's farm - and helpful friendly staff. Order 1 between 2 chips as the bowls are quite big but they are also very good, not frozen rubbish that so many places do nowadays. Also not the skinny chips that the burger chains do, but proper cut chipped potatoes. Well worth a visit.
