Great atmosphere, wonderful tasty food and the best tasting tea. Friendly staff, good service and very reasonable price. Quilliam Brothers deserve to succeed and already are a Newcastle institution

“B-E-A-utiful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2013

Loved this place. Perfectly brewed tea (saw one staff member take a sample from the pot and taste it before serving the remainder to ensure it was correctly brewed), amazing food (Get the Big Q (pulled pork style roast beef with a sauce that complimented it perfectly!) and very attentive staff considering the place was absolutely heaving. Two meals and two teas cost is £15.50 (so slightly more than we expected) but I was more than happy to pay because it was beautiful. A definite treat.

“what a tea shop should be!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013

We stopped in after reading about this place and were so impressed! The service was wonderful - friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. The tea menu is extensive and they brew it for you so it comes ready to drink and doesn't sit around with the leaves for too long! We only had drinks but the food and cakes looked worth coming back for. It's pretty busy with the uni crowd but we managed to grab a seat downstairs - really cosy. Can't wait to return!

“Tea-tastic in stunning central location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013

We visited this week and had such a good experience we went back2 days later. Staff are extremely friendly, passionate and polite and by and large very easy on the eye!!

We had two types of tea, both excellent and hot stotties which were superb value. I had the cheese and ham stottie which you'd think would be a basic sandwich but this was superior with its thickly cut ham and quality strong cheddar - sublime, served with a small side salad and roast potatoes.

Cake afterwards excellent.

Great place to go when in central Newcastle for a warm, funky and friendly experience.
