I had never seen The before , but after seeing them for the first time in August, I immediately made plans to bring all of my friends to the September show. And this show was even better!
This are a group of hilarious and talented people, who really deserve the biggest audience possible! The relationship they create with the audience in order to build a new show every month is outstanding.
To give you some idea of the format for the evening; the first half is a collection of improvised games, such as taking a them from the audience performing it, but being paused by another member of show who asks the audience for a style of theatre, music, tv, literature in order to change the style of the performance. It sounds complicated but truly in comedy gold!, where the performers improv skills for music and rhyme are really tested, to great comedic effect.
The second half is mostly dedicated to a fully-fledged musical, which is created using the theme of 'Aspects of..', so once it was the suggestion of Viking, so before our eyes they created a musical version of Aspects of Viking. This month the musical was Aspects of Cutlery. Yes, Cutlery!
I honestly cannot recommend a night with out seeing them incredibly cheap! Please go and see them, I guarantee you'll want to go again!

What a gem. This theatre is well established in wonderful buildings. Indeed in "Tyne" the building is part of the play. The cabaret lay out of tables and the intimate feel of the place is very special, and the shows are grade 1. Excellent bar which features local real ales amongst other products. Already waiting for the 2014 programme.

Just been to see a terrific play – cooking with Elvis. One of the best plays we’ve seen in a long time. The cast is brilliant – all four of them. Lots of laughs; lots of pathos; great way to spend 2 hours. The venue as always is comfortable; easy to get to; and reasonably priced.

Just been to the live Theatre to see Cooking with Elvis - what a great show and the venue is amazing you can sit so close to the stage that you really feel part of the show.
You can take a bottle of wine from the bar to your seats which all helps with the overall experience. There are a good choice of restaurants within walking distance if you want to have a pre theatre meal. Overall a great night out.
