Very good pub food. Large selection of beers. Had to wait a bit for a table, but it was worth the wait. Very tastey meat pies with mash and gravy and mushy peas. We really loved our meals.

Had a couple of pints of Moor, pretty good, definitely a good place for ale drinkers. Not the cosiest of places, but a nice view of the Tyne bridge. Smelly loos.

Pie and mash ( Numerous types of pie fillings) with peas and gravy of your choice served up on hot tin plates. It was delicious and with the oldy world surroundings and choice of ales, well worth another visit

Steak pie... creamy mash... pease pudding... meat liquor = heaven! Would not hesitate in recommending here - especially on Wednesdays when they have a good offer of two pies for £10. They also have a brilliant selection of ales. Worth a visit!

Got looked after big time by Lyndsey and Lauren. Lyndsey taught us how to speak Geordie. The bar is unique and a great place to sit and enjoy a beer. They looked after us as special customers. The girls made us feel warm and welcome and gave great banter.
