“Amazing - high quality buffet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013 via mobile

I'll be honest, when the other half suggested coming here on a Friday night, I did not have high expectations. And when he paid £15 per head, I couldn't believe it. For a buffet?

I take it all back, it was fab. The restaurant serves cuisine from around the world. There is a station for each country. The quality is very high. Considering the price we paid I had copious amounts of fresh fish, prawns, handmade sushi (the fillet steak sushi was amazing) among others. There is a strong Asian food influence here but there were other options available including a grillhouse where they cook your steaks to order, European cuisine and pizza. So you don't need to worry about the kids either, especially on the desert counter - build your own sundae, chocolate fountain and lovely fresh made deserts.

I would imagine the full experience is appreciated on a Friday or Saturday night as the full service is available. Definitely recommend this one.

“Surprisingly good lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

I have just had a surprisingly gorgeous lunch at Kingdom Buffet. I wasn't sure about going because international buffets tend to be a let down (take note Taybarns) but everything was beautiful, particularly the dim sum, sushi and beef bourginouin and the selection was huge. The staff were friendly and the restaurant decor was of a better standard than expected. My only other feedback would be that the restaurant entrance was challenging to find and could be better sign posted around the Haymarket. We will be going back! : )

“Mixed opinion! not great for veges.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

I vistited here last week with my partner, just after opening at 6pm on a friday evening, when there was already a queue to get in. We paid £15 each i think. The food was only just beginning to be served, with no desserts out (no idea what time they put them out but they were not out 45 mins after opening, which i thought was a little odd. The food is very much a mish mash of cuisines-sushi bar (ok but a little rubbery- seaweed seemed dried out- but a wide variety beyond plain salmon rolls), chinese-all meat dishes, spring rolls, crispy seaweed, wontons etc, american-hot dogs/steaks, a pizza pasta bar, english tray-yorkshire puddings, mash and gravy, then mexican- from which i could see was a taco. The main issue I had was the labelling- chicken spring rolls, and veg spring rolls, one tray behind the other, signs next to each other on the top, so I had no idea which was which. Also i think all of the main dishes were meat, the 'seafood' paella also contained chicken which wasnt labelled, so if you ate fish not meat you would have had a shock. There was a vege pizza and pasta bake, but no vege mexican or chinese main dishes (saba noodles and some rice were the vege aspects of it). If your a vege who likes to pick at side dishes (which is what i did) its ok- spring rolls, crispy seaweed, saba noodles, slice of pizza, its ok. For meat eaters, and people who like this style of food I guess the price is good, its all takeaway style though, a bit oily etc. My partner who eats meat said the steak was ok but clearly a cheap cut. I wouldnt like to go when its busy as i could imagine it would be hard to try all of the dishes. So i guess i would rate it as ok, would return if partner wanted to go, but wouldnt chose it personally.

“Fantastic value for money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

My husband and I ate here one lunchtime and couldn't believe our eyes at the selection available. No carvery meats available while we were there but that was no problem with all the other food that was there including fresh dim sum, noodle bar with food cooked in front of you, sushi freshly made etc etc etc. we will def be going back soon. Just a word of warning - make sure you have some cash for the bar because the minimum payment by card was £5
