The French Oven is simply brilliant. The pastries, the cakes, the bread - all tasty, great value and the service is spot on. You just have to go to see for yourself, I've never had a bad item from them.I think they are linked to Oliver's, which is a bistro just opposite and that is also a great place to get some quality local food at great value.

Often visited here instead of Greggs for lunch, the food is fresh and much tastier than high street alternatives. There's usually an offer on something sweet, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Love their Cornish pasties!

The bread is fresh and tasteful especialy the speciality breads the coconut haystacks are to die for. Had to stop myself from going back for a second one , thats when you know they are good.

I think it's good, but I mean, bread is good in many places. Maybe the point to go there is that you can be sure it is freshly made, and also, everyday after 4, they will sell bread half price, so many people will queue up then. I love bread and I do think it's good. It's just I don't know why the big fuss.
