Hotel is OK, limited parking available if you don’t get there early then you have to find parking in nearby streets. You can’t park right outside as its permit holders only so be warned. Had requested a double room but when I got then only a very small room and single bed available, and too late to look anywhere else. Hotel is clean, food was really good no complaints there.

You can here almost everything from the next room, I could hear the bathroom ventilation unit coming on in the room next door lights being switched on , and people walking past your room at night due to squeaky floorboards and banging doors

I have stayed twice at this hotel on business. On both occasions the double room has been clean and comfortable. Parking is free but quite limited at the hotel and the streets around seem to be residents permit parking in the week so you need to move your car by 7.30am I think.. The wireless Internet hotspot worked fine both in the public area and the bedrooms and again is free. One disadvantage of this hotel is that there is no lift and the stairs are quite narrow so if you are carrying more than one bag it can be a bit tricky. The restaurant food is fine with 3 courses costing about £16 if you want to eat in the hotel but Jesmond is quite busy and there are a number of other places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. In my experience i have found the staff to be helpful and friendly, even though they seem to cover a number of duties in the hotel. The breakfast is great and cooked to order which is always a bonus. The staff are attentive and there is no waiting for service or pressure to leave.. I would stay here again no problem

Had a twof day business trip to Newcastyle and basically picked this hotel at random. It is in the Jesmond district and on arrival there all the hotels seemed full of lager swilling students. However this hotel is about a four hundred metres beyond these. overlooking what appears to be a park/grounds of a church.
The hotel itself is pleasant enough and quiet as far as revellers go. Meals were served quickly by helpful and pleasant staff and all at a reasonble cost. The food was served hot and was as good as any.
The room was spacious and clean and had a nice view over the church.
Downside - room doors do not appear to be able to shut quietly and if next door gets up and leaves at 6am everyone knows. Also the bathroom fans go on for about 5 minutes after the light is witched off which is annoying if it is next door who has gone to the loo.

I had a stay of one night here on Saturday 19 May. I was upgraded from a single to a double, which I appreciated very much, especially as the hotel was almost full. The bed and room were comfortable, and the breakfast was very nice. Also the reception staff were very friendly. Good value for an overnight stay.

Stayed here on Saturday night and was appalled. Really drap, rubbish service, rooms in need of a good clean. Ran a bath and a load of what looked like tobacco flew out the taps. Really creaky floorboards ensure no sleep Avoid room 17! Never asked if we would like breakfast or dinner and even the bar was closed. This place is a shambles compared with the Caledonian around the corner. Stay away.
I even contacted the hotel directly on Wwednesday but have yet to hear back from them.
