I've not been to this Restaurant for a while, even though its only 10 minutes walk from my home. But my son, a curry fan, has wanted to go for a while, so off we went, with my Daughter and a friend.

The Restaurant is lovely inside, not your typical Indian. It's bright, airy, open planned and rather posh looking.

We were greeted by Abdul, who was fantastic all night - chatted to the kids, told us about the menu, he was just fab. Even brought a tray of sweets after the meal for the kids.

The food was excellent - the curry's fresh and the meat well cooked. My Chicken Sri Lanka was the best I have had.

The only reason I didnt rate it as EXCELLENT, was down to the naan bread. The Peshwari Naan was under cooked, wet and doughy.

Other than that, a great meal. We will be back, hopefully Abdul will be there again!

Sunday night takeaway special at £9.95 for starter, main, rice, naan, and side. Also available on a Thursday. We had 2 specials between us and decided (next time) that 1 would be enough.

Definitely no scrimping on portions with plenty of chicken in both mains (Tikka Jaipuri and Pathia). Good flavours in all dishes. Restaurant itself was quite quiet and there is a waiting area for tables and/or collections (chance to grab a quick Cobra or Kingfisher on draft).

Staff were well turned out and polite. Located on Great North Road, above American Golf, with a single doorway that leads upstairs. Some parking at front, side and rear of building.

Dined in on Saturday evening and was welcomed to a nice and open atmosphere. Immediately greeted by a warm and friendly waiting staff who gave exceptional service throughout the meal. Drinks are extensive also reasonably priced. Food was FANTASTIC! Portions were generous, and the tastes and smells were unique in their own right. No other restaurant I've been to has served food this great. 5* Rating in my opinion, RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE!
