Visited today and thoroughly enjoyed it, a full English and a trio Stottie (large bap) both cooked to perfection. Yes the place is small (but cosy) and people who appreciate good food, using fresh ingredients are prepared to wait! Lots of people having Eggs Benedict while we were there so definitely returning to sample them ourselves. Staff were really friendly and very attentive, what more could we ask!

My Daughter and her Partner took my wife and I for breakfast on the day of her 50th birthday. We had to wait about 30 minutes to get seated but it was worth the wait. The food was very tasty and the traditional English breakfast enough to get you through the day. How the cook can turn out so much food so quickly from the small range is truly amazing. Will be coming back soon to sample some other things off the menu.

I won't lie, I'm a huge fan of quay ingredient and Newcastle needs more places like this! Small, independently owned cafes with people who are passionate about what they do.

I must have been here over twenty times this past year since it opened and every time the service is consistent, friendly and flawless. Most people find that if they come here once that the staff will remember your name and what you ate last time you visited!

The daily soup is always fresh, seasonal and of exceptional quality. In addition the eggs benedict is perfect every time.

Most recently though I was told to try the burger and it is hands down the best burger I've ever had and for £6.95! Freshly ground beef, seasoned to perfection, crisp lettuce, bacon that is juicy yet crispy round the edge. The cheese was strong but not over powering. As a regular restaurant goer and someone who has worked in hospitality for a number of years, this is by far the best burger I've ever had!

Keep up the good work guys and hope all goes this Christmas!
