This could be so much better if it was given some TLC. Of course it's nice to walk by the river and the view of The Sage and the bridges are great but if you go east the walkway ends quickly. If you go west then it does go on for a long long way but it is not looked after and had burnt benches and damaged signs. Disappointed with it really.

We walked along here for around an hour, the views of the bridges are beautiful. The area is very clean and it is a fantastic city.

If you are in the area, visit the Sunday market. Otherwise, there are great views, loads of restaurants and pubs and loads of view up and down The Tyne.

It is a stiff uphill walk back to the City Centre but there is a yellow bus service which can jump on.

The central railway station is nearby if arriving by train.

Loved the Views along the Quayside. The Sunday craft Market is also a must. Plenty of Bars Restaurants along the quayside. Art lovers are also well catered for with the Baltic and the Sage.

There is lots of nightlife on the Quayside. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants, beautifully lit up in the winter months and plenty of nice walks over the bridge in the summer. There are 2 sides to the Quayside, and on the Gateshead side there is the Baltic where they have galleries, a fabulous restaurant on the top and the Sage where they have lots of things going on especially concerts, mainly classical. Perfect place to visit on the Tyne. Not far from bustling Newcastle shops, which are brilliant.
