There are many coffee shops along the Quayside, and a market on Sunday morning selling artisan bread and plants etc.
The Baltic museum is free and very close to the Quayside.

With no doubt my favorite place here in Newcastle, a unique and romantic place, pleasant stroll up and down on the banks of the River Tyne and marvel at this picturesque landscape.
Beautiful especially the architecture of the buildings that blend between the modern and the old one.
You should see it for real to enjoy this show.

We were so looking forward to seeing the quayside and what it offered. The bridges are amazing but after that, apart from one very busy bar, there's nothing!. No pavement cafes, no quayside restaurants (apart from ones behind the quay road) There's not even places to sit and look at the water.

Here's a place quite local to me which is useful for a keen photographer or a tourist, or even for a day out. The bridges and the buildings have a lot of history behind them. A great place to photograph, especially after dark.

I absolutely love the quayside, especially in terms of architecture, but also in terms of the multi-culturalism. I did a geography project there 2 years ago where I had to survey people and I met at least 20 people from at least 15 different countries! It really is the place to be in Newcastle whether you are young or old, whether on business, out for a drink with a mate or you just want a picture to say you've been there.
